U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order "ENFORCING FEDERAL LAW WITH RESPECT TO TRANSNATIONAL CRIMINAL ORGANIZATIONS AND PREVENTING INTERNATIONAL TRAFFICKING."

This concerns both drug trafficking and human trafficking. This order mostly stands to make the issue of prosecuting these crimes a Federal priority, "under the guidance of the Secretary of State, the Attorney General, and the Secretary of Homeland Security." It also mandates that a report be submitted to the President within 120 days.
