2016 US Presidential Election

Recommended Posts

What is really sad is looking at the candidates, Democrat or Republican and those are our choices- how pathetic. And the Republican candidate that gives people any hope at all is a corporate mogul, while the Democrats are sporting someone who has been accused of committing espionage and treason and who should be in prison or else a known communist?  I feel like I am in a bad B movie and this is all a joke.

In this whole Country of 300 million people, these are the best we could come up with?

OH Cheetah9, you really don't want to get me started.  Mogul, yes, but then we don't have anything but a Corporation anyway do we? This "gov't, OF the people. BY the people, FOR the people was lost a long time ago.

This was an interesting post I read the other day, don't quite know what to make of it

lol Breezy- I know my simpleton observation of and annoyance with the ideological terrorism that runs the world is naive. Just helps to vent....

At that link someone posted this and said that this is what Sanders faced yesterday... and it is probably as true now as it was in 76' and long before that- this movie scene seems to be a way of telling us what they are doing to absolve themselves of guilt...

Republican Cruz bests Trump in Iowa race, Clinton and Sanders tie

February 1. 2016

Steve Holland and Amanda Becker

"DES MOINES, Iowa (Reuters) - U.S. Senator Ted Cruz soundly defeated billionaire Donald Trump in Iowa's Republican nominating contest on Monday, upending the party's presidential race and creating a three-way competition with establishment candidate Senator Marco Rubio.

A conservative lawmaker from Texas, Cruz won the first state Republican contest with 28 percent of the vote in Iowa compared to 24 percent for businessman Trump. Rubio, a U.S. senator from Florida, came in third with 23 percent, making a stronger-than-expected finish.

On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont came in deadlocked, both receiving roughly 50 percent in a race that was too close to call. Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, declared the result a "virtual tie."

Trump: Redo Iowa Election- He Cheated!

Posted By: RumorMail [send E-Mail]

Date: Wednesday, 3-Feb-2016 14:04:41

Donald Trump says Ted Cruz stole the election in Iowa and is demanding a revote due to fraud on the part of the Ted Cruz campaign.

Starting at 8:47 this morning, Trump sent out a series of 5 tweets that laid out his grounds for a redo election:

“Ted Cruz didn't win Iowa, he stole it. That is why all of the polls were so wrong and why he got far more votes than anticipated. Bad!”

Trump blasted Cruz’s dirty tricks campaign involving a fake message that Dr. Ben Carson was quitting the race just as the caucuses were getting ready to vote:

“During primetime of the Iowa Caucus, Cruz put out a release that @RealBenCarson was quitting the race, and to caucus (or vote) for Cruz.”

In another tweet, Trump explained how the fraud changed the election:

“Many people voted for Cruz over Carson because of this Cruz fraud. Also, Cruz sent out a VOTER VIOLATION certificate to thousands of voters.”

The purpose of the Voter Violation scam was to fraudulently induce people to go the polls to vote for Cruz.

“The Voter Violation certificate gave poor marks to the unsuspecting voter(grade of F) and told them to clear it up by voting for Cruz. Fraud”

Trump also blasted Cruz for lying about Trump’s position on ObamaCare and Choice.

“And finally, Cruz strongly told thousands of caucusgoers (voters) that Trump was strongly in favor of ObamaCare and "choice" - a total lie!”

In Trump’s last tweet of the morning, he then called for a new election in Iowa:

“Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified.”

In Response To: Trump: Redo Iowa Election- He Cheated! (RumorMail)

Hey Bernie, don't waste your time to recount the votes, look at Bill Gates/Microsofts FREE App for answers :-) We all know Hitlery could not have gotten that many votes. Although we're not rooting for you, either. But, we would like the truth to come out.

Sen. Bernie Sanders Iowa campaign is questioning the results of Monday's caucuses.

After all precincts were reported Tuesday morning, the Iowa Democratic Party reported Hillary Clinton won 49.8 percent of state delegate equivalents in the Democratic Iowa caucuses. Bernie Sanders took 49.6 percent of delegate equivalents.

Sanders' campaign staff believes there may be discrepancies between the paper vote tallies at the precinct level and numbers that were reported to the state party.

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/elections/presidential/caucus/2016/02/02/sanders-camp-questions-iowa-caucus-results/79698946/

With all precincts reporting, the Iowa Democratic Party said Tuesday morning that Hillary Clinton had edged Sanders on the number of delegates awarded, 49.8 percent to 49.6 percent. Clinton’s campaign declared victory even before the final tallies were released.

Weaver said his campaign is reviewing tally sheets and “looking into a few other issues,” which he declined to name.

In an interview, Weaver also said that he has no second thoughts about Sanders diverting from the Iowa campaign trail last week to hold a pair of rallies in Minnesota, a state with caucuses March 1.

The events last Tuesday in Duluth and St. Paul drew more than 20,000 people but kept Sanders from making stops in Iowa for half the day, in what turned out to be the tightest Democratic caucuses in state history.

“This is a national campaign,” Weaver said. “We’re going to be campaigning all over the country. Those were good events for us.”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/02/02/sanders-campaign-reviewing-iowa-caucus-totals-says-actual-result-may-never-be-known/

"We feel like that there’s a very, very good chance that there (are discrepancies)," said campaign spokeswoman Rania Batrice. "It's not that we think anybody did anything intentionally, but human error happens."

Donald Trump's plane makes emergency landing in Nashville
February 3, 2016

Stuart Ervin

"NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s plane made an emergency landing in Nashville on Wednesday.

The plane was bound for a campaign event in Little Rock, AR, when it experienced engine trouble. Trump’s plane landed at the Nashville International Airport around 4:40 p.m.

The event was scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., but Trump took the stage about an hour and a half later.

The Nashville International Airport tweeted that Trump’s plane was “making a quick pit stop.”

The FAA issued the following statement:"

"A Boeing B757 diverted from it's planned route, and landed safely at the Nashville International Airport tonight at 4:40 PM after reporting engine problems.  The FAA will investigate."

I want to show you a screen grab someone I follow on Twitter found on the FOX website this morning. He posted it at 9:24 am EST. By the time I went to the website at 11 am, all figures in the graphics were back to zero and no check mark next to Trump. He told me he screen grabbed it before it would likely disappear. He also told me it had Sanders winning.

So, was this just someone fiddling with/testing the site while it was live or what?

Here's a link to the actual site, which is currently still updating as the returns come in. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/elections/2016/primary-caucus-results/new-hampshire

As it turns out, Trump and Sanders are the projected winners for tonight's primary. : - /

John Kasich is now projected to come in second, so does not match this morning's picture, but still : - /

While Trump and Sanders smell victory, Hillary Clinton contemplates humilation

February 8, 2016

Tim Stanley

Hillary Clinton is running on one issue: Hillary Clinton. Unfortunately, very few Americans like Hillary Clinton.

""What will be a good result for Hillary in her race against Bernie Sanders?" I asked a Democrat. He replied: "She'll be happy with second place."

Today’s New Hampshire primary will be all about the post-match rationalisations. We expect Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump to win – that’s a foregone conclusion. But the political establishment, the pundits and the media can’t even contemplate the thought of a Sanders v Trump race – so they’ll put a wall around New Hampshire, say that it didn’t really matter, and look ahead to the states to come. Ergo who comes second, and how close to first they come, could dominate media interest. Among the Republicans, Jeb Bush is looking for a comeback. Among the Democrats, Hillary may have to do some soul searching. Her campaign thus far has showcased her greatest weaknesses.

• Why is America so angry?

Rubio doesn’t seem inevitable anymore, following that awful debate performance on Saturday. It’s widely thought that John Kasich, the moderate governor of Ohio, has a good ground game in New Hampshire and is generating strong crowds. Chris Christie, too, is throwing his weight around – although his poll numbers remain miniscule. But both he and Kasich have little structure outside New Hampshire and insufficient funds to keep going. Meanwhile, one poll shows Jeb Bush surging into second place. If he pulls that off, he could enjoy an unlikely comeback."

I am going to put this here because it may have an impact on the election.

As I shouted the other night, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died the other night. There is controversy now about whether the next president or the currently sitting president should appoint a replacement. Currently, the court is basically split 4 to 4. Any decisions that come down 4 to 4 will mean the lower court's decision will be upheld.

The very interesting part is the conspiracy talk stirring around Scalia's death. The described circumstances are odd:

"We discovered the judge in bed, a pillow over his head. His bed clothes were unwrinkled," said Poindexter."

"He was lying very restfully. It looked like he had not quite awakened from a nap," he said.

Scalia,79, did not have a pulse and his body was cold, and after consulting with a doctor at a hospital in Alpine, Poindexter concluded resuscitation would have been futile, He then contacted federal authorities, at first encountering a series of answering services because he was calling on a weekend."

http://m.mysanantonio.com/news/local/article/Texas-ranch-owner-recalls-Scalia-s-last-hours-6830372.php

The last I heard they said he died of a heart attack. But no autopsy will be done.

Seems strange to report that he had a pillow over his head though.
