Here is a mention of good old Bernie again...

snip

Randy: Well I have certainly had the privilege, since my Brigadier General asked me to speak publicly, to see an arc of development on what has been occurring both publicly and internally and that the internal view has certainly changed over time. I can say that the attitude of myself and my Brigadier General three years ago was optimistic but less optimistic than what it is today because of all the things that have happened and changed. My opinions and statements about what I think is about to happen and where I think we are going have changed over time- if anybody cares and has followed. I am a Marine and my job is to tactically assess things...so where things turned ugly a number of years ago they have been turning better and better and where we are right now lets me know that so much is being handled. I know some people don't like that it is being handled. It is being handled with what we think will be the minimum amount of negative impacts and what we think allows us to get to the closest, soonest place of full disclosure in the shortest amount of time. We think that that conversation is a non-starter. At the diplomacy table when you are sitting down with a bunch of people and you say “Full Disclosure”. That's a non-starter for some people. So to start that conversation it has to be OK here's the reason why you want some disclosure and you get them to agree with you, you get enough people to agree with you, you get your foot in the door etc. and that is all that matters right now. That is all because once that happens all the other conversations that we want to have about how we exactly want that to go and where we want that to go can then happen. I just want to be practical here and we are going to have to wait but I don't think it is going to be a long time. I think that we have a real opportunity to see some significant and fundamental change in the political system in this country. I am not going to get into it but I can tell you that by the numbers, mathematically speaking, why Bernie Sanders is going to be the next president of the United States. The numbers show that he is the most poised person to win. He's most poised to take it at the convention. Obama has given the super-delegates permission to change their vote which they are going to do at the convention, mark my words.

Putin Warns Trump ‘New World Order Out To Get You’

Brave Vladimir Putin has delivered a scathing attack on the New World Order and warned Donald Trump that the ‘secret cabal’ have him ‘in their crosshairs.’

There is a secret cabal above the elected rulers of your country, they have very clear goals for the next couple of years…They do not want you to be President, and they are conspiring against you.‘

President Putin hasn’t endorsed Trump, but any enemy of the New World Order is a friend of the Russian President’s, and he had a few words of warning to share with Trump when they spoke on the phone on Friday.

Putin warned Trump to expect ‘dirty tricks like we’ve already seen, and much worse‘ according to a Kremlin source, warning him that elite members of the GOP, his own party, are currently plotting against him and will attempt to take away his nomination for the presidency.

‘The elites will do whatever it takes to stop you thwarting them,’ Putin said, according to sources, hinting at a possible assassination plot should Trump’s campaign continue gaining momentum.

Bush’s revenge! GOP’s plot to stop Trump

June 23, 2016

Kevin Hart

"Ever since the dawn of the television era, it has been every major presidential candidate’s best friend.

I’m talking about the post-convention bounce.

Republicans and Democrats count on a significant bump in the polls following their party conventions — and they try to ride those increases straight to November.

And the post-convention bump can be significant. Bill Clinton gained nearly 30 points in the polls in 1992 — and just four years ago, Mitt Romney saw enough of a bump to temporarily draw even with President Barack Obama.

But with less than a month to go until the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, a plan is taking shape to deny GOP nominee Donald Trump any post-convention momentum.

It’s being orchestrated by the Republican National Committee and major party insiders like the Bush family. And it could ultimately cost Trump the White House.

The concept behind the bump is simple. Candidates and their supporters get days to dominate the media cycle and make their pitch to American voters — often during prime time.

The constant media coverage – most of it favorable – is reassuring to voters and helps candidates shore up support.

Unfortunately, that’s not going to be Donald Trump’s convention experience. Not by a longshot."

BREAKING: Trump Issues Huge Call To America To Revolt: Reject The Rule Of The Elite

In a truly stunning upset, the Brits have decided to abandon the European Union and take back the reins of their own government. This win for Britain was a massive snub to the polls and mainstream media, who said the “Brexit” supporters were fighting a losing battle all along.

Presumed GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump owns a golf course in Scotland, where voters largely called for the U.K. to remain a part of the EU, but his campaign issued a glowing statement about Britain’s vote to leave:

“The people of the United Kingdom have exercised the sacred right of all free peoples. They have declared their independence from the European Union and have voted to reassert control over their own politics, borders and economy.

First Cameron, next it will be Hillary as the domino's fall. Perhaps this is all part of The Plan, who knows but it feels good to watch them disappear from power positions one by one.

‘Brexit’ Revolt Casts a Shadow Over Hillary Clinton’s Cautious Path

June 25, 2016

Patrick Healy

"For Hillary Clinton, Britain’s emotionally charged uprising against the European Union is the sort of populist victory over establishment politics that she fears in the coming presidential election.

Mrs. Clinton shares more with the defeated “Remain” campaign than just their common slogan, “Stronger Together.” Her fundamental argument, much akin to Prime Minister David Cameron’s against British withdrawal from the European Union, is that Americans should value stability and incremental change over the risks entailed in radical change and the possibility of chaos if Donald J. Trump wins the presidency.

She offers reasonableness instead of resentment, urging voters to see the big picture and promising to manage economic and immigration upheaval, just as Mr. Cameron did. She, too, is a pragmatic internationalist battling against nationalist anger, cautioning that the turmoil after the so-called Brexit vote underscores a need for “calm, steady, experienced leadership in the White House.”

But prudence is cold comfort to people fed up with more-of-the-same.

According to their friends and advisers, Mrs. Clinton and former President Bill Clinton have worried for months that she was out of sync with the mood of the electorate, and that her politically safe messages — like “I’m a progressive who gets results” — were far less compelling to frustrated voters than the “political revolution” of Senator Bernie Sanders or Mr. Trump’s grievance-driven promise to “Make America Great Again.”

Mr. Sanders and Mr. Trump won a combined 25 million votes during the primary season, compared with 16 million for Mrs. Clinton. And while many of Mr. Sanders’s supporters are expected to support her in November, she has not recalibrated her message to try to tap into the anger that he and Mr. Trump channeled.

Nor does Mrs. Clinton have any plans, advisers say, to take cues from the Brexit campaign and start soft-pedaling her support for globalized markets, or denouncing porous borders, illegal immigrants and the lack of job protections in free-trade agreements.
snip
While Mrs. Clinton is counting on Mr. Trump’s history of racist and sexist remarks to doom his candidacy, Thursday’s Brexit referendum was an unnerving reminder that voter anger is deeper and broader than many elite politicians and veteran pollsters realize. In swing states like Ohio, many Democrats and Republicans yearn for an economic comeback and are not confident that Mrs. Clinton understands their frustrations or has the ideas and wherewithal to deliver the sort of change that could satisfy them.

“Brexit is clearly a cautionary tale for the Clinton campaign not to get too complacent with a potential victory,” said David B. Cohen, a professor of political science at the University of Akron. “Trump, Sanders and those in Great Britain who ran the Leave campaign are tapping into an anger and anxiety that is clearly festering. Working-class folks in the United States are similar to working-class folks in Europe. And a lot of those working-class people feel as if the international economic system is not working for them and strangling the middle class.”

Mike DuHaime, a Republican strategist, said the British vote was the clearest sign yet that “the intensity against the status quo is far more real than many are still willing to acknowledge.”

“If the Trump victory in the primary wasn’t enough of one, the Brexit vote serves as a major wake-up call indicating just how frustrated average voters are with those in power,” Mr. DuHaime said."

UN Official Set To Testify Against Hitlery Is Found Dead....Surprise....A Barbell Fell Across His Neck.... :))

Posted By: Watchman

Date: Sunday, 26-Jun-2016 16:52:51

It sure is amazing how lucky the Clinton’s have got when people are going to testify against them and then they die.

Ashe was due in court Monday with his Chinese businessman co-defendant Ng Lap Seng, who is charged with smuggling $4.5 million into the US since 2013 and lying that it was to buy art and casino chips.

Ng was identified in a 1998 Senate report as the source of hundreds of thousands of dollars illegally funneled through an Arkansas restaurant owner, Charlie Trie, to the Democratic National Committee during the Clinton administration. (Ng was not charged with any crime.)

Ng and Trie had visited the White House several times for Democratic fund-raising events and were photographed with then-President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton.

One source told me, “During the trial, the prosecutors would have linked Ashe to the Clinton bagman Ng. It would have been very embarrassing. His death was conveniently timed.”

I hate Donald Trump. But he might get my vote.

What Donald Trump is doing on the campaign trail

Businessman Donald Trump has become the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee for president.

By Jim Ruth June 28 at 7:25 PM

Jim Ruth is a writer and retired financial adviser.

No Trump campaign buttons or bumper stickers for me. I’m part of the new silent majority: those who don’t like Donald Trump but might vote for him anyway. For many of us, Trump has only one redeeming quality: He isn’t Hillary Clinton. He doesn’t want to turn the United States into a politically correct, free-milk-and-cookies, European-style social democracy where every kid (and adult, too) gets a trophy just for showing up.

Members of this new silent majority, many of us front-wave baby boomers, value hard work and love the United States the way it was. We long for a bygone era when you didn’t need “safe spaces” on college campuses to shelter students from the atrocity of dissenting opinions, lest their sensibilities be offended. We have the reckless notion that college is the one place where sensibilities are supposed to be challenged and debated. Silly us.

Trump calls Clinton a 'world-class liar'

Play Video1:53

At a speech in New York on June 22, Republican presidential candidate called his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton a "world-class liar." "Brian Williams’s career was destroyed for saying less — just remember that,” Trump said. (Reuters)

And please don’t try to stereotype us. We’re not uneducated, uninformed, unemployed or low-income zealots. We’re affluent, well-educated, gainfully employed and successfully retired. Some of us even own our own business, or did before we retired, creating not only our own job but also employment for others. While we’re fiscally conservative, we’re not tea partyers. And on certain social issues, many of us even have some leftward leanings. Shhhh . . .

Our view of the media is old-school, too — just the facts, please. Before his untimely death some years ago, Tim Russert of “Meet the Press” set the standard for “fair and balanced” by grilling both Democratic and Republican politicians in a way that never betrayed his personal political persuasions. That still works fine. It’s just damn hard to find.

The only pleasure the new silent majority has taken throughout this primary season has been watching progressives marinate in their own righteous indignation. They were giddy, like spoiled children opening Christmas presents, as they watched 17 Republican combatants call in airstrikes on one another. But eventually the tables turned as the Hillary-Bernie slugfest got ugly, and we took particular delight in the sourpuss expression on the faces of the lefties we know when they realized that the Republicans, left for dead, suddenly had new life and a chance to win the presidency.

We are under no illusions about Trump. We know that this Man Who Would Be King is a classic bully and a world-class demagogue in his personal, professional and political lives. He will continue to demonize his perceived enemies and take the low road at every opportunity.

And we know that if Trump makes it all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., the view after that is murky at best. We’re confident that he will surround himself with smart and capable people from the business world, as well as some Capitol Hill veterans. But here’s the rub: Past business associates describe him as a micromanager who likes yes men at his side. How long this new Washington brain trust will last in a Trump administration is anybody’s guess.

Who’s to blame for the Trump phenomenon? There’s culpability on both sides of the aisle for the absence of bipartisanship that fueled his rise. The left blames the policies of a fragmented, delusional, right-wing GOP. But the left bears responsibility, too. Turns out that the obstructers in Congress weren’t just the Republicans, as Bob Woodward reported in his book “The Price of Politics.” President Obama kept “moving the goal posts” in the 2011 sequester negotiations with Republicans. And who can forget the way Republicans were bullied over health care? They were left with no choice but to use every procedural maneuver in their arsenal to block, delay or postpone the liberal legislative agenda.

So why then would rational, affluent, informed citizens consider voting for The Donald? Short of not voting at all — still an option some of us are considering — he’s the only one who appears to want to preserve the American way of life as we know it. For the new silent majority, the alternative to Trump is bleak: a wealthy, entitled progressive with a national security scandal in her hip pocket. In our view, the thought of four to eight more years of a progressive agenda polluting the American Dream is even more dangerous to the survival of this country than Trump is.

EXCLUSIVE: Hillary Clinton Scheduled To Meet With FBI On Saturday

July 1, 2016

"Former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to meet Saturday with the FBI, a source close to the investigation into her private email server tells The Daily Caller.

The source went on to suggest the interview may take place at her Washington, D.C. home.

The bureau’s interview with the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee is believed to be the final step in its investigation into the potential mishandling of classified information on Clinton’s private email server.

Hundreds of now-classified documents — some of them “Top Secret” — were sent and received through Clinton’s private server, which she housed at her New York residence during her tenure at the State Department."

FBI investigators have already interviewed several Clinton aides, including her former chief of staff Cheryl Mills and her deputy chief of staff, Huma Abedin. Investigators have also interviewed Bryan Pagliano, the former State Department information technology specialist who maintained Clinton’s server. The Justice Department gave Pagliano limited immunity in exchange for his cooperation in the probe."

EXCLUSIVE: Security Source Details Bill Clinton Maneuver to Meet Loretta Lynch

July 1, 2016

Ken Kurson

"Former president delayed Phoenix takeoff to snare '20-25 minute encounter' with Attorney General

An exclusive interview with a security source who was present at the unplanned meeting Monday night on a Phoenix tarmac between former President Bill Clinton and Attorney General Lorretta Lynch has shed additional light on an unusual summit that is embroiling the AG in charges of favoritism. As attorney general, Lynch heads the Department of Justice just as it is deciding whether to proceed with charges against Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server during her tenure as President Obama’s secretary of state.

The source has decades of experience providing security to government officials. The source spoke to the Observer for 20 minutes and answered follow-up questions via text message on the condition that no further details be revealed, including even gender, given the possibility of losing his or her job as an active overseer of security arrangements. This person was on-hand for the entirety of the meeting and some of its aftermath.

According to this source, whose credentials were checked and confirmed by the Observer with sources inside both the FBI and the United States Secret Service, the attorney general was caught completely off guard by the meeting and the source dismisses suggestions that have been raised alleging that she waited there to see Bill Clinton or accommodated his request to see him. In fact, it seems from this source that it was Bill Clinton who was maneuvering for face time with the attorney general, because his plane had been scheduled to leave before hers arrived."

I don't think little old Hillary will be indicted either, otherwise it would have happened already.  She will probably be rewarded for her steadfast loyalty to the Dark with the Presidential position if it comes to a change in President in November or maybe Bernie will be the next boosted puppet.  They would rather kill Trump than let him take over so the choices are limited.

Rush On The Clinton PSYOP..."We Are Being Played Again, Folks"...By Masters...

Posted By: Watchman
Date: Saturday, 2-Jul-2016 09:22:46

Source http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?read=50447

RUSH: Okay, folks, I'm gonna tell you what I think is actually going on here. I think we are being played in the standard, common, everyday way the Clinton team plays the American people. It has happened, I can't count the number of times, dating back to when Bill Clinton was in the White House.

Essentially what this is -- and the Lynch-Clinton meeting is the latest ingredient -- we're being set up for massive disappointment, depression, and dispiritedness. They're making it look like, and they have all along, very possible Hillary Clinton could be indicted. They are toying with us. They're dangling this carrot in front us. "This could be the time. This could be it when we finally get the Clintons once and for all."

They drag it out, and they do things like this meeting that apparently compromises the whole thing and jeopardizes the whole thing, release information on all the emails they're finding and Hillary's IT takes the Fifth 125 times. Ask yourself, how many times do people ask you, "Do you really think Hillary's gonna be indicted?" And they say it with anticipation and excitement. How many times do people ask you that? They ask me that all the time.

My answer, by the way, from the get-go has always been, "She's not gonna be indicted. There's no way it's gonna happen. You don't understand the Democrat Party and their use of power if you think their presidential nominee is gonna be indicted by an Obama DOJ. Ain't gonna happen."

But they got a lot of people thinking it will, and when she skates, they want you depressed, they want you down in the dumps, they want you giving up, they want you thinking there's no way you can win. They want you thinking they can get away with everything. That's the Clinton MO, and we are right smack-dab in the middle of another such play. Don't doubt me.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Okay. Let's use our intelligence guided by experience and add to it some of the things just now mentioned by J. Christian Adams. How it's done between Lynch meeting with Bill. Now, remember that J. Christian Adams' point here, and this is a very key point. When Loretta Lynch says that she is going to basically step away, not recuse, but she's gonna step aside and accept the recommendations of the FBI and the decision of career prosecutors in the DOJ -- for those of you in Rio Linda, the other kind of prosecutors are appointees, political appointees versus career.

Career people are there no matter the administration. They're there as long as their work is up to snuff and they don't get canned, but they're career prosecutors, and the point that Christian made is if those people want to rise in the ranks at the FBI, and it's no different than anywhere else, you impress the boss, you do what the boss wants. You make your name by getting noticed by the boss.

So turning over this decision to both the FBI and career prosecutors is really not much of a risk for Loretta Lynch if you start out believing she doesn't want Hillary indicted. And we know that's the case, folks. These are Democrats first. I know people want to believe that we still have people who will still put institutions above party. Not today's the Democrat Party. The whole point of acquiring these positions of power is to corrupt them with your people, who will use these positions of power to implement your agenda.

Now, they don't look at it as corrupting anything because they think they're God's gift. They're simply doing the work that needs to be done to transform America. So in their minds they're not corrupting anything. To the objective observer, of course, all of this is corruption. We know that Obama does not want Hillary indicted. He'd be the first witness. You stop and think of that? He'd be the first witness. He's the president of the United States. She's got an email server that violates every executive branch rule and regulation. He'd be the first witness. He doesn't want her indicted.

Ominous Sign? Canadian Lawmakers Chant '4 More Years' for Obama

Ominous Sign? Canadian Lawmakers Chant '4 More Years' for Obama

It’s not every day that the crowd’s reaction to a speech becomes a story – yet Canadian politicians might have achieved just that with their rapturous response to U.S. President Barack Obama.

At the daily White House briefing Thursday, a presidential spokesman was asked about Canadian MPs’ boisterous applause and playful campaign-style chants of “Four more years!” as the soon-departing president addressed Parliament.

imo, that is ominous, period  question is, is that the plan?  I don't know, seems like some get away with anything, even being in breach of their official duties.

Reporter: FBI ordered ‘no photos, no pictures, no cell phones’ during Clinton/Lynch meeting

Larry O'Connor

July 1, 2016

"Reporter Christopher Sign of ABC 15 in Phoenix, AZ appeared on The O’Reilly Factor Thursday night to talk about his scoop involving that secret meeting between former President Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

Watch the entire interview below. Sign lays out how the story developed and then he leaves this little nugget:

“The former president steps into her plane. They then speak for 30 minutes privately. The FBI there on the tarmac instructing everybody around ‘no photos, no pictures, no cell phones.'”

Interesting
snip     video

First of all, it isn’t the FBI’s job to tell journalists or private citizens they can’t take photographs of a former president and the Attorney General. What were the agents going to do, arrest people for taking a picture or video?

Also, if there was nothing wrong with the meeting and it was totally innocent, why were federal agents instructed to demand no one take a picture?

Finally, let’s stop focusing on the fact that this meeting was inappropriate because Clinton’s wife is under investigation by Lynch’s Justice Department. I mean, that’s bad, but it’s actually letting Lynch and Clinton off the hook a bit. By focusing on the appearance of conflict because Hillary Clinton is being investigated, we are willfully overlooking the very real conflict in the fact that Clinton himself is under investigation, as the Grand Poo-bah at the Clinton Foundation. (Fox News)."

Attorney General Lynch Must Resign
July 1, 2016
Joe Sekulow

"Attorney General Loretta Lynch must resign.

She has broken the sacred trust of the American people.

By meeting secretly with former President Bill Clinton – the husband of someone subject to an ongoing Department of Justice (DOJ) criminal investigation and a potential witness himself in that investigation – on a taxpayer-funded jet, she violated federal regulations and Department of Justice Standards of Conduct.

The virus of deception and unethical corruption has permeated the entire Obama Administration.

Members of Congress of both parties expressed dismay and dissatisfaction.

Although Attorney General Lynch described the meeting as “primarily social” discussing golf, grandchildren, and travels, the meeting is simply unacceptable.

Meeting with the husband of former Secretary of State Clinton while overseeing the investigation into her private e-mail server and possible civil and criminal violations dealing with mishandling classified emails violates numerous ethics rules.

5 C.F.R. § 2635.101(b)(8) states, “Employees shall act impartially and not give preferential treatment to any private organization or individual.

5 C.F.R. § 2635.101(b)(14) states, “Employees shall endeavor to avoid any actions creating the appearance that they are violating the law or the ethical standards set forth in this part.”

And finally, 28 C.F.R. § 45.2 is the regulation governing when a Department of Justice attorney must be disqualified from a criminal investigation because of a personal or political relationship. Under this rule, Attorney General Lynch is prohibited from participating in a criminal investigation or prosecution if she has a "personal or political relationship" with "[a]ny person or organization substantially involved in the conduct that is the subject of the investigation or prosecution," or any person or organization which she "knows has a specific and substantial interest that would be directly affected by the outcome of the investigation or prosecution."

It doesn’t get much clearer than that."

Michael Flynn, the retired general on Donald Trump's VP shortlist, explained

Zack Beauchamp

July 9, 2016

Flynn prepares to testify at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing in 2013                                                                Tom Williams/CQ Roll Call/Getty

"Donald Trump is seriously considering Michael Flynn, a retired general and former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, as his pick for vice president, according to a report by the Washington Post’s Robert Costa.

The news is something of a surprise. Pundits have expected Trump to pick someone with traditional political experience, like a governor or senator, to buttress his complete lack thereof.

But the pick wouldn’t come completely out of nowhere. Flynn has been advising Trump on foreign policy issues since at least February, and had previously hinted that he’d be open to taking the number two job. And an early July Politico piece described him as "Trump’s favorite general."

In some ways a retired general would be seem to work perfectly as a Trump running mate. Flynn would bolster the Trump ticket’s foreign policy credentials, but would also preserves the notion of an outsider campaign en route to clean up the mess in Washington. Flynn would also in some sense be a bipartisan pick, since, as of last year, he was a registered Democrat.

And in still more ways, Flynn appears to be the Trumpiest pick imaginable. Like Trump, Flynn is a harsh critic of President Obama and the American political establishment — Flynn’s 2014 retirement came after numerous reports of him butting heads with his colleagues.

Like Trump, Flynn sees jihadism as America’s greatest threat, with his rhetoric often veering way past alarmism into irresponsibility. He said in one 2015 Fox News appearance that "I have been at war with Islam or a component of Islam for the last decade."

"WASHINGTON — IT says a lot about our relationship with Hillary Clinton that she seems well on her way to becoming Madam President because she’s not getting indicted.

If she were still at the State Department, she could be getting fired for being, as the F.B.I. director told Congress, “extremely careless” with top-secret information. Instead, she’s on a glide path to a big promotion.

And that’s the corkscrew way things go with the Clintons, who are staying true to their reputation as the Tom and Daisy Buchanan of American politics. Their vast carelessness drags down everyone around them, but they persevere, and even thrive.

In a mere 11 days, arrogant, selfish actions by the Clintons contaminated three of the purest brands in Washington — Barack Obama, James Comey and Loretta Lynch — and jeopardized the futures of Hillary’s most loyal aides.

It’s quaint, looking back at her appointment as secretary of state, how Obama tried to get Hillary without the shadiness. (Which is what we all want, of course.)

The president and his aides attempted to keep a rein on Clinton’s State Department — refusing to let her bring in her hit man, Sidney Blumenthal."

As you have probably heard by now, Their Clinton Foundation involves so many people in it's crookedness, IF it were exposed, it could bring down this entire government, plus start wars, and bring down other countries also.

BREAKING: ALL Trump Delegates Ruled UNBOUND At RNC Convention…The Fix Is In!

July 11, 2016

"Since Trump officially got to 1,237 delegates after winning California, it has been assumed that he will be the GOP nominee and face Hillary Clinton in the general election, however that just might not be the case at all, as RNC rules say all delegates are unbound heading into Cleveland.

If they steal the election from Trump after Americans have clearly chosen him to represent their party in November, a political earthquake will take place.

Here is what has been reported…

From The Hill:

As the Republican National Convention prepares to kick off next week in Cleveland, there is a lot of confusion and controversy over the question of whether delegates to the convention are “bound” to vote for any particular candidate as a result of primary or caucus results, or state party directions.

The report from The Hill went on to explain the history of the RNC rules making and past procedures, but concluded by saying…

In short, the history of the Republican National Convention proves that delegates have always, with the exception of 1976, been free to vote their conscience, and the rule that has protected this right over the last 136 years remains part of the temporary rules of the 2016 convention. The U.S. Supreme Court’s rulings on the issue also make clear that delegates are free to ignore state laws purporting to bind them, and the one national party rule purporting to bind delegates expires at the start of the convention.

Tx Reddwolf           A thought, sure wouldn't want to be a cop in Cleveland this coming weekend!

ok, wth is going on? Confusion reigns??

Breaking! Federal Judge deals a crushing blow to Mitt Romney and his #nevertrump movement

July 11, 2016

"FEDERAL COURT SIDES WITH GRASSROOTS ACTIVISTS: RNC DELEGATES ARE BOUND TO FOLLOW ELECTION RESULTS

Delegates Remain Committed to Donald J. Trump:

Anti-Trump Effort Dealt Crippling Blow

(New York) July 11, 2016 – Senior United States District Judge Robert E. Payne today ruled in favor of Trump campaign delegates who had argued – in line with overwhelming public opinion – that RNC delegates must follow election results and that delegates cannot be stolen at the national convention. Delegate Beau Correll, Jr., had brought the suit against the Commonwealth of Virginia hoping to reject the will of the voters, but was soundly defeated.

Specifically, the Court found that RNC Rule 16, which binds delegates based on their election results, “is in effect presently and that it controls the allocation and binding of delegates as to their voting at convention.” (p. 6) The Court held that the Plaintiff’s “expert testimony” from Erling ‘Curly’ Haugland was not credible, lacked “textual support,” (p.6) and that “delegates are bound by RNC Rule 16.” (p. 7)

Further, the Court found that by signing the “Declaration and Statement of Qualification,” RNC delegates are bound by RNC Rule 16©(2) (p. 10), and that this Declaration obligated Correll to vote in accordance with Republican Party rules and Virginia’s election results. (p. 46)

Trump Campaign Attorney and former FEC Chairman Don McGahn issued the following statement:

"The court has confirmed what we have said all along: Rule 16 is in effect and thus delegates, including Correll, are bound to vote in accordance with the election results. The court did not buy what Curly Haugland was selling, and noted that his testimony has no support in the rule's text and was contradicted by his own book, Unbound. This case puts his unbound theory to rest, and is a fatal blow to the Anti-Trump agitators.”

So then Curly Hoagland putting out false info?  I never ask what next, but this contradictory info almost made me do so.

Here’s what Bernie Sanders’s Hillary Clinton endorsement is really about

July 12, 2016

Chris Cillizza

"For anyone who had seen one of the countless stump speeches Bernie Sanders gave in support of his presidential campaign over the past year or so, the address he delivered Tuesday in New Hampshire sounded very, very familiar.

Which is sort of strange. Because all of the speeches Sanders delivered up until today's in Portsmouth were aimed at explaining to Democratic voters why he would make a better nominee than Hillary Clinton. The speech today was, ostensibly, an endorsement of Clinton's presidential campaign.

But, really, it wasn't. Yes, I know that's how it was billed by the Clinton and Sanders camps. And, yes, he did say this: "I have come here to make it as clear as possible as to why I am endorsing Hillary Clinton and why she must become our next president." (It was the only time that Sanders used the words "endorse" or "endorsing" in a speech that ran 2,161 words. You can read the whole thing here.)     https://berniesanders.com/prepared-remarks-bernie-clinton/

What was it then? A celebration of Bernie Sanders by Bernie Sanders and for Bernie Sanders (and his supporters).

Here's how Sanders kicked off the speech — after noting that he had won more than 13 million votes in the primaries and 1.4 million people had seen him speak live:

Our campaign won the primaries and caucuses in 22 states, and when the roll call at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia is announced, it will show that we won almost 1,900 delegates. That is a lot of delegates, far more than almost anyone thought we could win.

Hmmm.  Clinton stood by his side throughout this recitation of his successes, nodding her head politely with a smile etched on her face. But it's hard to imagine that she or her campaign team were thrilled with Sanders touting just how well he had done — and how much better than everyone expected! — as the lead-in to his long-awaited endorsement."
