This is from the good doctors sales page  http://donate.drrimatruth.com/Nano-Silver-10-ppm-one-16-oz-bottle-s1001.htm

This knocking colloidal silver to promote the sale of her product's is very disappointing and contains misinformation.

  • Argyria is only caused by consuming gallons of the stuff!!!!
  • It was very effective when I had a week old bladder infection so bad I couldn't get out of bed. In 3 days of taking 50ml of colloidal silver (home made)  3x/day was totally cured!!!! If I didn't get antibiotics from doctor or didn't take the silver I would have died. Had temp 39c.
  • I've had a bottle of my colloidal silver for 12 months and the silver  didn't drop out of suspension!!!
  • Home made colloidal silver will NOT contain a multitude of Other Additives providing PURE ingredients are used: .9999 silver, Steam Distilled water (not the Demineralised water, it's not pure!!!)
  • There are lots of Safety and Effectiveness Data around if one cares to look for it.

I've been safe for years of using it and I have experienced the effectiveness personally!!!

KEEP MAKING YOUR COLLOIDAL SILVER AND KEEP TAKING IT!!!!!!!!

Questions and Answers: Estimating the Future Number of Cases in the Ebola Epidemic—Liberia and Sierra Leone, 2014–2015

Summary

This week’s MMWR, Estimating the Future Number of Cases in the Ebola Epidemic—Liberia and Sierra Leone, 2014–2015, estimates the future number of cases if current trends continue. The MMWR also adjusts the number of cases based on estimated underreported cases.

  • By September 30, 2014, CDC estimates that there will be approximately 8,000 cases, or as high as 21,000 cases if corrections for underreporting are made.
    • Without additional interventions or changes in community behavior, CDC estimates that by January 20, 2015, there will be a total of approximately 550,000 Ebola cases in Liberia and Sierra Leone or 1.4 million if corrections for underreporting are made.
  • Cases in Liberia are currently doubling every 15-20 days, and those in Sierra Leone and Guinea are doubling every 30-40 days.
  • Halting the epidemic requires that approximately 70% of Ebola cases be cared for in Ebola Treatment Units or, if they are at capacity, at home or in a community setting in which there is a reduced risk of disease transmission and safe burials are provided.
Key Messages
  • If conditions remain unchanged, the situation will rapidly become much worse.
  • We know how to control and eventually stop the epidemic. Halting the epidemic requires placing up to 70% of patients into either an Ebola Treatment Unit or in a community setting in which the risk of disease transmission is reduced and safe burials are provided.
  • The cost of delay will be devastating. The number of cases is doubling about every 20 days. Every month of delay in reaching the 70% target will increase the number of patients, which means more cases and more deaths and the need for even more beds and other resources.
Questions and Answers What is the basis of these estimates?

In producing the estimates, CDC researchers assumed that current conditions of disease transmission would continue without changes. The main driver of these estimates is that, in Sierra Leone and Liberia combined, reported cases are doubling approximately every 20 days.

@ Rab    "edit to add......Ponder this, why do HIV-antiretrovirals work against TB, Ebola and AIDS???"
because when you get right down too it, it all started w/the HEP B vaccine!!!  YES, the vaccine that the gov't is now FORCING us to give every newborn child in this country, and if they missed some newborns, not to worry, they are now insisting the children are given it before they can start school!!

PressTV: US exposes troops to Ebola to test vaccines,
by Paul Craig Roberts
October 18, 2014

"The public continues to be reassured that Ebola is not a problem for the US, but CNN reports that President Obama has appointed an Ebola Czar. The Czar is not a medical person but an insider lawyer who served as chief of staff to Vice President Biden.
Little wonder Ebola conspiracy theories are spreading faster than Ebola. And as far as any of us knows, the conspiracies could be true.
University of Illinois law professor Francis Boyle, an expert of the perfidies of the US government, reminds us that Sierra Leone and Liberia, the countries most affected by the Ebola outbreak, are two West African countries that host US biological warfare laboratories. Professor Boyle asks how the disease, which is mainly associated with equatorial Congo, reached West Africa thousands of kilometers away.

Washington’s response is itself peculiar. The Obama regime sent 4,000 US soldiers to West Africa to fight Ebola. Soldiers don’t have training or equipment with which to combat Ebola. Why expose 4,000 Americans to an epidemic? This seemingly pointless decision has raised suspicions that Washington is exposing troops to Ebola so that vaccines or treatments can be tested on the troops."

Fears for Ebola nurse Nina Pham, 26, as her condition worsens from 'good to fair' after transfer to specialized quarantine unit
October 18, 2014

By Ashley Collman and Michael Zennie and Snejana Farberov for MailOnline and Louise Boyle

"Ebola-stricken nurse Nina Pham's condition was downgraded to fair on Friday, according to doctors at the National Institutes of Health.
The 26-year-old nurse, who contracted Ebola while caring for Thomas Duncan at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, was previously described as being in a good condition on Thursday.
According to the American Hospital Association's scale used to describe a patient's health, a 'fair condition' is listed as worse than a 'good condition'
Dr Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said at a briefing outside the Maryland hospital on Friday that Miss Pham was in a 'fair, stable condition and resting comfortably'.
He did not describe further details of her condition due to patient confidentiality but said she still had Ebola symptoms."

Chopper Lands for Blood Sample in Ebola Cruise Scare
October 18, 2014

"A helicopter landed aboard a cruise ship Saturday to pick up a blood sample from a passenger who may have handled fluids from an Ebola patient, ahead of the Carnival Magic’s planned docking at Galveston, Texas, Sunday.
Carnival said Texas health officials requested that a sample be taken from the passenger and tested, but that the ship is still scheduled to arrive Sunday morning. The company said of the passenger, who is in quarantine, that “she’s feeling absolutely fine.”

Fidel Castro offers cooperation with US in fight against Ebola

October 18, 2014

"Fidel Castro has expressed Cuba’s readiness to cooperate with the US in the global fight against Ebola. Cuba has been on the frontline of international response to the worst outbreak in the disease's history.

In his article “Time of Duty,” which was published on Saturday, the retired Cuban leader said that medical staff trying to save lives are the best example of human solidarity. Fighting together against the epidemic can protect the people of Cuba, Latin America, and the US from the deadly virus, he added.

“We will gladly cooperate with American [medical] personnel in this task – not for the sake of peace between the two states which have been adversaries for many years, but for the sake of peace in the world,” wrote Castro.

As the Ebola death toll currently stands at more than 4,400, the United Nations is urging the global community to help tackle the outbreak. Even to simply slow down the virus' spreading pace, international aid would have to increase 20-fold, said UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

“We need at least a 20-fold surge in assistance – mobile laboratories, vehicles, helicopters, protective equipment, trained medical personnel, and medevac capacities,” he said.

Cuba was one of the first countries to send medical staff to the West African nations fighting the epidemic. A group of 165 health workers arrived in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea, and several more groups are expected there. The Cuban team consists of 100 nurses, 50 doctors, three epidemiologists, three intensive care specialists, three infection control specialist nurses, and five social mobilization officers."

I'm sure you all know what I think. We need to put differences aside and accept any help offered. This is not just a struggle for W. Africa, it is just possibly a struggle for all of mankind.

I also believe that they tried to indroduce AIDS and the Avian Flu by vaccination and they always hit Africa as the source of these outbreaks. I once met a Doctor who resigned from the UN once he found out they were selectively vaccinating some Africans with AIDS. Whether it is transmitable once a person is infected I dont know to be truthful.. but they failed with AIDS, they failed with the Avian Flu and they will eventually fail with Ebola.

EBOLA IS A STAGED HOAX

"Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them." Ephesians 5:11

By Steven Bancarz|

A statement made by a man in Ghana named Nana Kwame has rocked the internet in the last few days. The following information needs to reach people. We need to see Ebola for what it really is. It’s time that the world wakes up to the agenda behind all of this hysteria. Here is what this man has to say about what is happening in his home country:

“People in the Western World need to know what’s happening here in West Africa. THEY ARE LYING!!! “Ebola” as a virus does NOT Exist and is NOT “Spread”. The Red Cross has brought a disease to 4 specific countries for 4 specific reasons and it is only contracted by those who receive treatments and injections from the Red Cross. That is why Liberians and Nigerians have begun kicking the Red Cross out of their countries and reporting in the news the truth. Now bear with me... read on

Worth reading!!

Makes sense, warn people not to take the vaccines, as always they spread the manufactured virus

Just thinking out loud folks.

What if ;- Ebola was not transmitted via saliva , blood , or touching something.

What if ;- Ebola was the vaccination given to combat a hypothetical virus ( one that was made up )

How convenient to have this vaccination or whatever it is these people are being given to protect themselves ( they think )

Yet we know silver ( is it monatomic silver - brain fog at the moment sorry ) has been withdrawn.

The Diamond mines --- those poor buggers have been on strike for more pay for quite a while now.

Africans working those mines are paid a pittance , so the rule of thumb is , if they don't do it someone will, some other poor bugger that is.

Blood Diamonds & next one would be Oil , yes OIL, that flipping stuff rears its ugly beastly monetary head once again.

Ffs , all of these countries , UK ,USA , FRANCE , All of them , are just baying , chomping at the bit , frothing at the mouth , to get into Africa.

And this doesn't include the ARB , theory  ( ARB - Alien Races Book ) you remember cleansing the land or part thereof ( terraforming ) for relocation.

Remember ;- EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED.

Cheers  ;D

Icanseeatoms.

Maybe this ties in with T's Connecting Dots   --- Mods please adjust if necessary , Thanks in advance.

This thread was never meant to be fear mongering.  It was, instead, meant to be a record of this Ebola phenomenon, being perpetrated upon us worldwide. Thanks to landdownunder, I have read a great piece by one of my favorites, Zen Gardner, and I encourage you all to read it, in it's entirety.  As I have posted to this thread over the days, weeks, I have not posted those articles I saw as extreme scare tactics, or sensationalism, opting for those I thought important to show how this whole thing seemed to be working, and those with information on how to avoid getting sick, or caring for yourself in case of. The following article is a great one, imo. Please consider all that he says.

Deconstructing the Ebola Agenda

October 17, 2014

Zen Gardner, Guest Writer for Waking TImes

"It looks like we’re going to be saddled with this ebola roll-out for a while. It seems to be working according to plan as the public jumps on the fear bandwagon and all kinds of media reports are taken at face value regarding what’s going on. A very easy environment to manipulate public sentiment, emotions and responses which is their favorite milieu.

The old problem – reaction – solution game.

I don’t like dwelling on this subject but it is front and center now and we are still in the process of deconstructing it all which is important to do. True knowledge is empowering, especially in the face of a matrix of deceit that’s trying to tighten its web of control to new levels right now.

When we see things for what they are they no longer have any power over us, as long as we stay out of the many traps they lay for us in our daily activities.

A lot of good information is coming out of the alternative media, but even that needs processing and careful evaluation in light of the hype being thrown at us. We need to see what resonates and let it steep for a while as new information surfaces. Most of all, if it engenders even more fear it’s not a place to go. True helpful information is empowering, although often challenging to our previous ideas or subconscious paradigms. And that’s good. Just let things sink in and put them in the “holding tank” to either stay around for further evaluation or to eventually get flushed out as either false, detrimental or superfluous information.

Most of all, beware the spirit of the information. Fear, and especially panic as it appears is starting to appear, should be kept out of our minds and hearts. Nothing good can come of them no matter how fascinating the projection may appear to be – much like their ghoulish zombie meme carefully embedded in society. Nor is this a time to take any of this flippantly as the war is on for our minds and we must be vigilant.

snip   <<<Trust me he says a lot, and it all makes sense!

Claim Your Immunity

"I find it inspiring that the wonderful immune system is so resilient and that they’re having such a hard time putting out our flame of resistance. It’s so representative of their war on our consciousness which they can never win. There may be serious casualties in the months and years to come if this keeps rolling out but they can’t quench our eternal spirit no matter what. If we graduate from here we just move on to the next level and on with the show we go!

Fear is one of the biggest weapons against the immune system, as well as for our spiritual immune system. Stay clear of it. Fear of death is the ultimate fear for many and that really needs to go. There’s no place for it. It doesn’t even make logical sense never mind any spiritual sense. It’s perhaps the biggest underlying fear porn program of all, fostered by everything the social engineers can come up with. It’s time to shake it.

And whatever you do, do not get vaccinated for anything nor let those you know and love do so either. That may take getting off the grid in some cases, but steer clear of possible checkpoints, especially when they start to make vaccinations mandatory.

Above all, live above it all. Keep raising your voice exposing these lies and continue to bolster the courage and awareness of those around you, but stay above it.

Kick your empowering activities into high gear and keep on the offensive. And stay happy. It’s the best medicine and great for both types of immune systems! There’s plenty to be absolutely ecstatic about. The stars still shine through the chemtrail haze and the sun still basks our gorgeous living planet in warmth and positive energy.

Identify what’s going on for what it is but don’t stare at the illusory cage they’re trying to erect, that’s what they want us to do.

Keep your vibration high and keep the laughter flowing. Oh how that infuriates these dark types when we laugh at them, and oh how it keeps us smoothly sailing above it all!

Enjoy the ride like the youthful storm surfer you are!"

Much love, Zen

It is always wise to read everything and then apply some mindfulness IMO and yes I have noted there is a slowing of the press hysteria so the fear ball is becoming difficult to keep in the air. One good thing about all of this is the realisation by an ever increasing number of people that the so called authorities that we have been trained to trust and believe are experts , in actual fact have exhibited an extraordinary high level of INCOMPETENCE.

MINDFULNESS - a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

2 things...

1st.... Yesterday at work didn't really note the time, but it was in the afternoon I heard a helicopter, now it didn't bother me at first. But then I heard it again this time closer... The third time I heard it I looked up, looked like a medical helicopter. Then it flew back the other way and looked to be being escorted by two militiry helicopters... Wasn't sure what to think, but it did make me think. ( I live in south east pa, about an hour west of philly)

2nd.... This morning on the news they said that America and Canada are looking to push for the use of experimental vaccines... I remember reading here and somewhere else ( not sure where sorry) that in Africa it seemed like the people infected with Ebola, were the ones that have received vaccines from the Red Cross, and that many areas ran them out, due to suspicion.

Thoughts and feelings please??

I've just heard an intel originated news that the top of WHO is someone who was sent in by China, and just following what China tells to do ever since Bird Flu started to worry people.

And apparently, basically China is pro-Ebola. WHO is grossly under-estimating the number of infected people maybe around mere 40% of what actually is.

And the CDC is very up against WHO because of it.

Huh?? :-

...To me it sounds like just skipping surface of many layers and short coming of truth.

Don't mean to confuse anyone, but I thought to share this because just thought it's interesting to see so many level of intel-wars are played currently (as always : :) )...

Martial Law in America: Fearing a Future Emergency, Governors Declare a State of Emergency

When most of us think of a State of Emergency, we think of isolated natural disasters like hurricanes, winter storms or a flood that passes through. In those cases it’s quite obvious when the emergency is over. But what if an emergency is declared for something that hasn’t happened yet? How will we know when it’s over?

Both Pennsylvania and Connecticut governors recently declared a State of Emergency, not because a disaster is taking place at this moment, but because bad things may happen in the future. This is an incredible development that citizens should be concerned about.

Ebola: Genetically Modified Organism developed in US Biowarfare Laboratories in Africa

Global Research, October 21, 2014

"As I read this notice from ClinicalTrials.gov, a service of the US National Institutes of Health, the US Government and Pharmaceutical corporations have been conducting ebola tests on humans. http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT02041715

This is official confirmation of Dr. Boyle and Dr. Broderick’s reports that the US government has conducted ebola experiments. Perhaps the vaccine was not effective, and those on whom the experiment was conducted came down with ebola and perhaps also employees in the US bio-warfare laboratories located in Africa where the experiment was conducted.

It appears that the test consists of giving an ebola vaccine and then exposing the unaware person to ebola, apparently an engineered version for bio-warfare. Whatever the tests are, it is clear that Boyle and Broderick in their articles below are correct that experimentation with ebola by the US government is underway."

Now this makes me wonder even more about the following two articles.

Airmen Deploy to Deliver Ebola Treatment Facility

633rd Air Base Wing

"JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va., Sept. 29, 2014 – Airmen from the 633rd Medical Group here partnered with representatives from the U.S. Public Health Service on Sept. 26 to deliver a modular medical treatment center as part of the U.S. whole-of-government effort to support humanitarian relief operations in Ebola-stricken African nations.

Airmen from the 633rd Medical Group accompanied the Expeditionary Medical Support System, or EMEDS, to Africa. And while they will not be involved in treatment of patients exposed to the virus, they will be supporting the overall effort by setting up the facility and training international health care workers officials said."

OK  so they  went at the end of September, and now they are where? home!  The 29th, wouldn't have gotten there until the 30th most likely, and already home on October 20th.  Just as a reminder, what is the incubation period again? 21 days? 42 days? I know, I know, it's just a coincidence, and consider that no one might actually know if any had been exposed.  Well, since they have been allowed to rejoin their families w/children, I hope it's all on the up and up, especially since they didn't quarantine/segregate them for any time frame at all, and fully intend them to return to work in a "couple of days".

Thomas Eric Duncan's fiancee set to complete Ebola quarantine on Monday

October 20, 2014

By Joshua Berlinger and Eliott C. McLaughlin, CNN

"CNN) -- For nearly 20 days, Louise Troh has had to endure tremendous fear, grief and isolation.

When told of the death of her fiancee, Thomas Eric Duncan -- the first person diagnosed with Ebola in the United States -- she fell to the ground.

The man giving her the news couldn't even console her with a hug.

But day 21 is Monday: The day the quarantine period is expected to come to an end for Troh, her son and two nephews. If the four do not develop symptoms by Monday, they will have managed to not contract Ebola despite being in close proximity to Duncan.."   <<<<haven't we heard the inc. period could be twice as long?

WHO: Ebola incubation period is 42 days, not 21 days

October 14, 2014

"The safest incubation period for Ebola is not 21 days, it's double that, a total of 42 days before an all clear should be given on any Ebola virus outbreak. On October 14, 2014 a World Health Organization (WHO) publication stated as much and more.

According to the publication on the WHO website, there are no 100 percent safety margins; however, "Recent studies conducted in West Africa have demonstrated that 95 percent of confirmed cases have an incubation period in the range of one to 21 days; 98 percent have an incubation period that falls within the one to 42 day interval." The safest incubation period, therefore, according to the percentages provided by WHO is 42 days to find out if an exposed person will get Ebola.

In addition WHO expressed grave concerns that so many countries were too quick to pronounce a potential victim of Ebola virus-free, sometimes in a matter of hours, stating "rapid determination of infection status is impossible." The publication expressed "alarm" as well as "grave doubts" regarding the "official information" provided to the public and the media it considered erroneously put out by public health leaders of countries who have recent first cases of Ebola."

U.S. hospitals may soon not admit Ebola patients

A new article written by Julie Steenhuysen and Sharon Begley titled Some U.S. hospitals weigh withholding care to Ebola patients points out the “unthinkable” as our society is truly in shambles. In fact, they [the medical establishment] are actually planning on not treating any future Ebola patients and if they do the facilities may be limited to 20 in number nationwide.

While this is an astonishing announcement which will likely shock some, it follows lockstep with the failed healthcare systems in America, truly showcasing the epic failure of modern society. I mean after all, it doesn’t appear they are limiting care in West Africa. In fact, the U.S. military is in the region setting up even more facilities at the expense of taxpayers.

Keeping patients in Nigeria hydrated with a sugar/salt water solution seemed to be key.... I imagine the salt in the solution helped to detox and alkalinize the body, which also helped to fight the infection. I start my day with 1/2 tsp of Himilayan sea salt in a tall glass of water. It definitely clears things out and gets rid of any puffiness I might wake up with on the odd occasion (or after a night of indulgence in spirits or what-have-you ;) )

Nigeria declared Ebola-free; 'spectacular success'

BASHIR ADIGUN and MARIA CHENG Oct 20th 2014 3:27PM

ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) -- Water laced with salt and sugar, and gallons of the nasty-tasting stuff.

Doctors who survived Ebola in Nigeria credited heavy doses of fluids with saving their lives as the World Health Organization declared the country Ebola-free Monday, a rare victory in the battle against the disease that is ravaging West Africa.

In the end, Nigeria - the most populous country in Africa, with 160 million people - had just 20 cases, including eight deaths, a lower death rate than the 70 percent seen elsewhere across the stricken region.

Officials are crediting strong tracking and isolation of people exposed to the virus, and aggressive rehydration of infected patients to counter the effects of vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms.

Nigeria's containment of Ebola is a "spectacular success story," said Rui Gama Vaz, WHO director for Nigeria.

Survivor Dr. Adaora Igonoh said the treatment is not easy. It entails drinking, as she did, at least five liters (1.3 gallons) of the solution every day for five or six days when you have mouth sores and a sore throat and feel depressed.

<snip>

Dr. Simon Mardel, one of the world's leading experts on viral hemorrhagic fevers, said the number of deaths could be cut in half if infected people were taught to properly hydrate themselves and do not take anti-inflammatory drugs, which can actually harm Ebola victims.

<snip>

There is no licensed treatment for Ebola, so doctors focus on hydration and supportive care, even in developed countries. In some cases, doctors have been surprised that keeping patients hydrated has been enough to save them.

To improve survival rates, Mardel said, it is time to designate packaged rehydration solutions as part of the cure. He said more needs to be done to make the fluids palatable, such as making the solutions weaker or flavoring them.

Igonoh said she sometimes added orange juice.

This is an unconfirmed news yet so please take it with a pinch of salt, though I feel this may be a really important piece of information if it's true.

Yesterday morning, a Chinese language news paper that's published in Russia stated 43 Chinese people returned from Africa had shown positive to Ebola.

But this news report was quickly deleted.

Then the news re-appeared in the same news paper stating that "according to the report in 新華社電" (a Chinese news paper), 43 people were found all negative.

If all cleared of Ebola, great!

But do you believe in what Chinese news paper says? They are all propaganda based.

The first news paper was IN RUSSIA. It was reported in Russian media!

Then as if to water down the situation, the second appearance of the same story pops out, pretending as a quote, and saying all OK.

Other points to consider are:

1) Heck a lot of Chinese people in Africa, they have DIRECT FLIGHTS to China, and many Asian countries accept Chinese tourists, again, heck a lot of them.

2) If they say 43, there may be 4300, or 430,000 needed to be tested? We never know the actual number but we know China CREATES statistics with very dodgy counting. See economic news for how dodgy their estimates are; world wide intel knows no one should trust what Chinese statistics says, apparently.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm....

Doctor in New York tests positive for Ebola

A healthcare worker who recently returned from Ebola-stricken Guinea where he treated patients has been rushed to a New York City hospital with a fever and gastrointestinal symptoms. Tests returned “preliminary positive results” for Ebola.

Preliminary test results show that the patient is positive for the Ebola virus, the New York Times reports. The federal Centers for Disease Control will conduct further tests to confirm the initial result.

Members of Bellevue Hospital staff wear protective clothing as they demonstrate how they would receive a suspected Ebola patient on October 8. On Thursday they got the chance to implement their skills

unprotected head and neck??

The doctor has been out in public and has been providing details of his movements.

Dr Spencer reported feeling sluggish on Tuesday but only developed a temperature on Thursday, The New York Times reported.

Last night, he took an Uber cab to a bowling alley in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

While it initially remained unclear which bowling alley the doctor visited, Brooklyn Bowl - a 16-lane bowling alley, bar and music venue - confirmed to MailOnline it would open on Thursday night.

An employee at The Gutter declined to reveal to MailOnline whether or not they intended to open their doors on Thursday evening.

City Health Commissioner Mary Travis Bassett said Dr. Spencer took his temperature twice a day and did try to “self-isolate,” although he had used public transportation since arriving back in New York and traveled in an Uber car to go bowling in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, raising fears of broader contamination.

Well, I guess they'll keep on sending the doctors who have treated folks with Ebola here to the usa and send them out into the communities until they can get non-medical workers catching it here. Seems like the handful of people here who have, allegedly been diagnosed with Ebola are medical workers. Though they would like us to think it is casually spread.

Just for some perspective though, why aren't people running around afraid of contracting TB like they are Ebola? WHO’s “Global tuberculosis report 2014” shows that 9 million people developed TB in 2013, and 1.5 million died, including 360 000 people who were HIV positive. By contrast... At least 4,877 people have died in the world's worst recorded outbreak of Ebola, and at least 9,936 cases of the disease had been recorded as of Oct. 19, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday, but the true toll may be three times as much. http://news.yahoo.com/ebola-deaths-4-877-cases-near-10-000-170158348.html

Even if the toll is three times the estimate, TB still wins as the more terror inducing disease, no? But maybe they wrung that TB rag dry in the middle of last century.

The doctor in NYC took the subway from Manhattan to Brooklyn, then went bowling, then took a taxi home, and at a time when he knew he WASN'T feeling good.  Give me a break, doc.  Yes, by all means don't panic, but please use your head for something other than a hat rack.   Didn't I just read somewhere that all persons incoming, were going to be isolated/quarantined? Yet we have a doctor traveling via the subway at a time when he knew he felt ill, and well within the incubation period and within a short time of arriving home?(6 days) OK, monitoring themselves yet not isolated from others, seems to me isolation should be a part of it.  They are also monitoring a nurse in Seattle. Yes, I am thankful they went and helped, but for some reason, common sense seems to be missing here.  Soooo then, has anyone heard anything about the doctor, they brought to Nebraska to treat, declared him cured, then he ended up in a hospital in NYC with pink eye/respiratory illness?? Dr. Sacra, I believe was/is his name.  Where did he get off to???

Seattle Area Nurse Being Monitored For Ebola

October 23, 2014

"As many as ten people in the Seattle area and Connecticut, many of whom arrived recently from West Africa, are the latest in the United States being watched for Ebola symptoms.

So far, none of them has displayed any signs of the deadly virus, authorities and reports say.

The Seattle Times reports, and CBS Seattle affiliate KIRO-TV confirms, that a nurse in the Seattle area is being monitored and is voluntarily restricting her movements to minimize any possible risk to others.

Dr. Jeff Duchin, communicable-disease chief for Public Health — Seattle King-County, told the newspaper the nurse came back to the U.S. from Africa, where she had treated patients with Ebola.

She will be monitored through the disease’s 21-day incubation period, the newspaper says."  (or is that 42 days?)

Ebola Reaches Mali

Cari Romm

October 23, 2014

"The west African country is now the sixth in the region to be affected by the outbreak."

"Less than a week after two west African countries successfully rid themselves of Ebola, another has announced its first case of the disease. In a television address on Thursday, Mali’s health minister, Ousmane Kone, revealed that a two-year-old girl has tested positive for the virus.

The girl was hospitalized yesterday in Kayes, a town in western Mali. A health official told Reuters that relatives brought her into the country from neighboring Guinea, where the outbreak began, after her mother died of the disease a few weeks ago.

Kone said that the girl is improving, Reuters reported, and that those who had direct contact with her are currently being monitored for signs of the disease."

North Korea declares Lock Down at borders from 24th Oct 2014 in order to avoid Ebola.

5 posts earlier in this thread, I reported about this weird news of 43 Ebola positive patients in China appearing and disappearing 2 days ago.

I feel this is happening because of this news of Ebola outbreak in China.

In other words, it's either the positive cases ARE REAL, or North Korea truly believes in the plausibility of China becoming the Ebola threat.

Of course South Koreans aren't accepted to travel there, either.

Well, "The Ebola Script" is actually taking place right here, right now in my town. Last night we got word about the e-bowl-ing doctor taking cabs and subways in NYC.....at the same time, SOME parents get a robocall from our school district telling them that YES, there is a child in a particular school who has relatives who just flew in from Guinea and will (and are) staying with them. Tons of parents keep their kids home from school today because of the vague message while the REST of us find out from the parents from this school (Facebook groups). The rest of the district has not received ANY word about ANYTHING and we are now looking at MSM which is reporting on it. One minute we hear the family will keep their child home, the next minute we hear they are in school, the next minute someone calls and gets a statement saying that they have to abide by the laws and regulations of the CDC and DOH which does not warrant the QT of situations like this, then the family is calling discrimination (predominately white area)....The other parents in other schools are freaking because our buses are shared, the teams are from all schools, the kids from that school happen to have their aftercare program at our school, etc.PANIC at its highest....it reads like a screen play....

I for one am sitting back and watching the story unfold....I predict "out of an abundance of caution" the school district will opt to close all the schools for a couple of days so they can "disinfect" the buildings and the buses......
