CHAOS Worldwide: ISIS, US, Ukraine, Russia, Iraq, Africa, Asia

Recommended Posts

First, let me apologize for this long post. I felt I needed to post about what is going on in Iraq today, because I believe it's very important. Trying to make connections between incidences. I think the stage is being set for something big, and can only hope I'm wrong.

At the end of February, the situation in Crimea occurred, with Crimea eventually voting to return to Russian control.  We all know the situation in Ukraine has gotten much worse since then.

Reread this AIM thread http://forums.thechaniproject.com/topic/6935-celtecs-editeddeleted-post-vyci/

In March, we had the disappearance of MH370. There were rumors it had been flown to Karachi, Pakistan.  Pakistan is in possession of nukes, and it had also been rumored that this plane was going to be made into a remote controlled missile.  IF TRUE, to attack whom, I wonder?  It was mentioned that in order to set off that newly found fault, the explosion would have to be big.  Well, how about a nuke inside a Boeing 777 remotely controlled, diving into it?? Aren't the Azores and Tenerife near that newly found fault line?

Right here at this point I'd suggest going back to AIM threads and reread this one  http://forums.thechaniproject.com/topic/7097-aim-issues-cm-alert-for-the-next-72-hours-highest-alert-possible/page-1   and this one http://forums.thechaniproject.com/topic/7079-wat-faugeres/ It is a Fire, intensely hot. Iraqi weapons through Pakistani warm water ports.  Faugeres was a REVOLUTIONARY woman.

Pakistan has nukes, and a nuke came up missing from the 6 sent from Minot, N.Dakota to Barksdale, La. 5 were recovered, 1 unaccounted for, and could have been floated down the Red River to the GOM and onto a stealth submarine. (wasn't there a Russian sub in the GOM unseen for days at one time a year or so ago?) And wasn't there also the Manthatisi in the GOM during the oil spill? Wasn't there an AIM thread or a burst that got us talking about that sub? and how something was transferred to it or from it? . Remember too there was an attack on a Pakistani weapons depot, on the 18th of April.

Then Obama releases 5 hard core terrorists from Guantanamo on May 29th. He did the same thing last year in July, and it was 5 that time too. Wonder what they are up to at this time?  IS it possible that they could have been arranging things from prison? Al Quaida also intimated that now there would be more attacks after these 5 were released.  Is it possible that they would use these latest 5 as scapegoats for what's to come?  Is that why the widely published comment about AlQuaida now being brave enough for more attacks???  (thanks landdownunder for the thought about scapegoats)  IF that were the case it would sure point fingers at the ones involved, who released them w/o Congressional approval.

We are all aware of the situation in Syria, and how all these ME countries have been systemically destabilized. Syria, Egypt, Libya, etc. Then Turkey cuts off the flow of water to Syria/which could also affect Iraq.

We hear about the arrest of a very popular Pakistani politician in London on June 3rd.

Then the Airport in Karachi, Pakistan is attacked on June 8

and apparently again

but it's being said this situation is now under control

Now today, Iraq has been attacked by ISIS, and several cities have fallen.

Iraq Declares 'State of Emergency' After Second-Largest City Gets Overrun

June 10, 2014

Iraq is on very precarious footing after Islamic militants essentially rolled over the city of Mosul today, driving out security forces and causing 150,000 residents to flee.

The capper to a 48-hour assault on the city by the group the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (known, confusingly, as both ISIS and ISIL) is sending shockwaves through the region. Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki declared a national "state of emergency" and the U.S. State Department weighed in, calling the situation "extremely serious."

Invasion in Iraq: Islamists 'feeling their oats' after Bergdahl deal?

June 10, 2014

"From the Islamists attacking targets in Afghanistan and Pakistan this week, to an al-Qaida-linked terrorist organization invading and taking over Iraq's second-largest city on Tuesday, some anti-terrorism experts believe President Barack Obama's controversial deal wherein the U.S. traded five top-level terrorist leaders for one questionable POW -- Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl -- has not only caused jihadists to celebrate another victory, but emboldened them.

"These terrorists -- whether in Afghanistan, Iraq, Gaza or Nigeria -- are really 'feeling their oats' and this latest victory in Iraq must cause the U.S. government to at least reevaluate its terrorism policy," said former police counterterrorism unit member Jorge Gestaud."

Iraq's prime minister calls for state of emergency after Mosul attack

June 10, 2014

"Islamic militants in Iraq overran the city of Mosul on Tuesday, gaining control of Nineveh   provincial headquarters, the airport, two television stations and other facilities, authorities said.

The militants, who were affiliated with the Al Qaeda splinter group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, reportedly took control of most of the nation’s second-largest city after a four-hour battle with security forces. Past fighting had not resulted in the collapse of security forces that  followed the battle Monday night and Tuesday.

Prime Minister Nouri Maliki called for parliament to declare a state of emergency and urged international organizations such as the United Nations, the Arab League and the European Union to support Iraq's mission in “combating terrorism.” The attack was seen as a bid by militants to expand their influence in Iraq and neighboring Syria, officials said.z'

The following link has videos and says the soldiers fled w/o taking weapons/uniforms

ISIS now controls the entire Euphrates basin from Raqqa through Deir Ezzor, al-Bukamal, and Fallujah

As Mosul falls to ISIS militants, doubts over US-trained Iraqi security forces

June 10, 2014

"Militants from ISIS, an al Qaeda offshoot, now control much of Iraq's largest city in the north, underscoring the group's growing strength and the failure of Iraqi troops to repel insurgents.

Insurgents overran much of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul Tuesday, seizing the provincial government headquarters, the airport, police stations, and prisons as members of the Iraqi army shed their uniforms and fled."

Mosul emergency: Who is Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi?  <<<<Leader of ISIS

June 10, 2014

"In  the space of a year he has become the most powerful jihadi leader in the world, and on Monday night his forces captured Mosul, the northern capital of Iraq. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, also known as Abu Dua, the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis) has suddenly emerged as a figure who is shaping the future of Iraq, Syria and the wider Middle East."

Do we recall that in January, Israel media stated that Obama threatened to attack Iran in June?

Obama to threaten Iran with military strike in June, Israeli media reports

http://rt.com/usa/obama-israel-military-june-503/  <<<not so sure if this is actually true, his words were strong, but perception is the key here.

In the meantime, what is Israel up to? Do they now have a clear shot at Iran?  How about the Saudi's, The Muslim Brotherhood? I think this is all connected, and where is MH370? Didn't I read somewhere that a commercial plane was hijacked from Karachi when the airport was attacked?

What is the US up to, in all of this? Which countries are backing whom in all of these conflicts on the sneak?  Who gave the orders for those military WE armed and trained to go and leave all weapons behind. Why did we train them to defend if that was never the intent? Just so this could be played in such a manner, so that the weapons could be given to ISIS on the sneak, instead of directly?  How about the Turks/Kurds in all of this? Folks, I don't believe this is over, instead, I think all the recent incidences are connected, and that it is working towards one end goal. I  don't think I will be surprised by anything that happens in the next couple weeks. (and yes some links were swiped, some my own research. and a great big thanks to Reddwolf for helping me out with info in this post too)

Chaos all over the world.

In Asia we have serious situations developing between China, and it's neighbors, including Vietnam, Philippines, Japan, etc.

In Africa, all sorts of wars and conflicts currently ongoing In Libya, Nigeria, Mali, Kenya, The Congo, Sudan, and how many more?

IF anyone has the time to read all of this, and the AIM threads, I'd sure like to hear what you think of my "random thoughts" about how all this could be connected, except for the Chaos all over the world section. However, if you think I'm daft, you don't have to say so. LOL One last thought, these surprise attacks were not planned since those 5 were released, they have been being planned a long long time.

This is going to be one of those "Uh huh" moments...I tried to read it all but my brain is still in "moving mode", but just looking briefly at what you have presented Breezy is really noteworthy.

I have tried to tell my sheeple friends that sometimes these things are planned months even years before they occur and when you look at what is above you see that this is true.

Mosul Seized; Jihadists Loot $429 Million From City's Central Bank To Make ISIS Worlds Richest Terror Force

The Islamic State of Iraq and al-Shams (Isis) has become the richest terror group ever after looting 500 billion Iraqi dinars - the equivalent of $429m (£256m) - from Mosul's central bank, according to the regional governor.

Nineveh governor Atheel al-Nujaifi confirmed Kurdish televison reports that Isis militants had stolen millions from numerous banks across Mosul. A large quantity of gold bullion is also believed to have been stolen.

Following the siege of the country's second city, the bounty collected by the group has left it richer than al-Qaeda itself and as wealthy as small nations such as Tonga, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands and the Falkland Islands.

As suspected all along, I mean really, what did the west think it was up to going into some of the holiest of places and ancient memory wherein Islamic/ Arab Sunni and Shiite have held space for thousands of years, even fighting for generations against the crusaders? Jihad is very real and not to be usurped by western might. They will fight fire with fire till the last man stands, and they have Allah and on their side who will raise up all warriors to His side in their counterpart to heaven. Make no mistake ISIS will sweep the country ... my advice to the West is : get out while you still can, or face nuclear war. Heads up!

Updating this a bit and thanking Rab for those two articles he posted very interesting reading.

I notice many journalists are using the word chaos to describe what is going on in Iraq, and it certainly is.  ISIS has gained control of several bases in Iraq, and all the special US vehicles, planes, and arms that the bases contained. They have robbed banks and gotten away with the money and gold, held therein. They have control of the water, and some oil fields.  Baghdad is now under siege, and sleeper cells in Baghdad have been mentioned. WHERE ELSE might there be sleeper cells? in the UK, the US??? They killed 1700 soldiers/police and lined the streets with their heads in one of the cities.  Now the thing here is, that Iran has actually sent Revolutionary Guard, some 3,000 of them INTO IRAQ to fight.  Syria has been bombing them on the Syrian border, and ISIS is now threatening to invade Jordon and assassinate the king.  Who organized these guys? and who armed them? Did Benghazi have anything to do with it? and why, when Maliki asked Obama for help, was he unavailable?  Is this a planned trap for IRAQ and why is Israel so quiet again, like after MH 370. My google earth isn't up, but it seems to me that Jordan is right next door to Israel. Something big stinks very bad, and this is no spur of the moment invasion.  The basis for all this, has had to have been going on for years now. Some links follow to info about the situation in Iraq.

ISIS Threatens to Invade Jordan, 'Slaughter' King Abdullah

June 12, 2014

"Islamist terrorists in Iraq and Syria have begun creeping toward neighboring countries, sources close to the Islamic fundamentalists revealed this week.

The terrorists, who belong to The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria [iSIS -- known as DAESH in Arabic] and are said to be an offshoot of al-Qaeda, are planning to take their jihad to Jordan, Lebanon, the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula -- after having already captured large parts of Syria and Iraq, the sources said.

The capture this week by ISIS of the cities of Mosul and Tikrit in Iraq has left many Arabs and Muslims in the region worried that their countries soon may be targeted by the terrorists, who seek to create a radical Islamist emirate in the Middle East."

Now here's an interesting item I did not discover the date until I was going to post it

Baghdad Under Fire – Al-Qaeda, ISIL, and the Battle for Iraq

Posted by Faye Higbee /

April 26, 2014

"Baghdad, IraqAn Al-Qaeda breakaway group, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) claimed responsibility on Friday for a  car bomb attack at a stadium where a political rally for a Shi’ite group was being held. The death toll thus far stands at 33, with 40 others wounded. But it is only the tip of a growing problem facing Iraq and Baghdad in specific- it is being systematically attacked and infiltrated by the militant al-Qaeda linked groups in an attempt to regain control.  Let’s start with the move to squash elections:" snip

The battle for Iraq

In a lengthy DEBKA file report, their intelligence sources stated that al-Qaeda members were going from house to house in Baghdad, giving candy to children, with a note attached that “invited” people to a “repentance” rites, which are really oaths of adherence to al-Qaeda.

DEBKA also reported that jihadi fighters have flocked to Iraq from the West

They are  fighting to overrun Iraq and establish an Islamist state there. They are pushing towards Baghdad after seizing the western province of Anbar, the city of Tikrit and the eastern province of Diyala on the border of Iran. They show their faces openly, unafraid of Iraq security, in parts of Baghdad as well as in the big Iraqi cities of Falluja, Ramadi, Baquba, Salahudeen and Nineveh. Al Qaeda’s operational arm in Iraq fields more Western fighters than any other of its branches.  They are nationals from US, Canada, the UK, France, Holland, Belgium and Italy. Many are battle-hardened veterans of Afghanistan and latterly Syria. From mid 2013, most of the Islamists fighting in Syria were scooped up by ISIS for its jihad in Iraq.”

This article talks about what's going on now in Iraq, but was written over 2 months ago!!........still shaking my head while thinking of how there was prior knowledge of this group and it's intent. They knew all along this was going to happen in Iraq!!

June 13, 2014

"The USS George H.W. Bush Aircraft Carrier is expected to be moved to the Persian Gulf to provide the US with options for possible airstrikes."

One must remember all the trade agreements Iran has made with Russia and China recently. So you may consider that they have some mighty big guns behind them. (NO, not saying this group is from Iran, just find it interesting that Iran has sent troops into Iraq to assist) ISIS has threatened the King of Jordan, and Jordan borders Israel, as does Syria. So why is Israel so silent? or have I just not seen what they've said? Going to be interesting to see how this progresses, and who is actually behind it, and for what reason.

Obama Is Aiding And Abetting Jihad Against The West - In Syria

In his commencement address at West Point, President Obama has announced that the U.S.is 'weighing military aid' for Syrian rebels. Separately, administration officials spoke off the record to reporters from the Associated Press and said that Obama and his team are planning to send U.S. military advisers to Jordan to train and equip certain moderate Syrian rebels.

Actually, the president has been covertly indulging his desire to intervene in Syria on the side of Islamist rebels without congressional oversight for quite some time, and its pernicious effect is starting to be felt. Just like the president's illegal intervention in Libya, our intervention in Syria has been like a rock dropped into a lake, sending ripples far beyond the original point of impact.

The training has mostly been done in Qatar and conducted by the CIA,although training of jihadis has also occurred in Jordan, where we already have almost 2,000 U.S. troops stationed and in camps along Syria's border with Turkey.

The president predictably lied about this when he was asked, but a documentary made by PBS ( hardly a right wing, anti-Obama platform) entitled " Syria: Arming the Rebels" actually shows jihadis training, holding up U.S. weapons and supplies and describe their journey from the Syrian battlefield to meet with their American handlers in Turkey and then being shipped to Qatar. Once there, they're instructed in sophisticated combat techniques, including one course on “how to finish off soldiers still alive after an ambush.”

As PBS notes "it appears the Obama administration is allowing select groups of rebels to receive US-made anti-tank missiles."

The United States has already spent $287 million so far in what's described as nonlethal aid for the rebels, with whom knows how much for military aid and training since the Obama Administration and the president still deny that took place. I mean, who are you going to believe? Barack Obama or your lying eyes?

In any event this new emphasis means that a lot more money and arms are headed to Syria. Secretary of State John Kerry is talking in the neighborhood of $5 billion. He also claims we have the ability to vet who the aid goes to, which is ridiculous given the facts on the ground unless we really are going to send boots on the ground to Syria to get involved and see who lines up next to us.

How have our efforts in Syria been turning out so far?

Well, first of all, as was apparent from the PBS documentary and other sources, we haven't really had all that much control of where the arms, money and supplies go, or really, even who gets trained.

It's a similar situation to what happened in Afghanistan back in the late 1970's when President Carter began arming the Afghan muhadejin to fight the Soviets. We sent the stuff to Pakistan and it was our dear friends the Pakistanis who decided who got what, not us. Any wonder the Taliban took over once the Soviets skedaddled?

What Syria is becoming is jihadi summer camp, with foreign fighters flocking there, picking up valuable experience and skills like how to make an IED that won't result in a work accident, gaining combat experience in Syria and Iraq and then ultimately heading back to their home countries to teach others. Al Nusrah and ISIS already run their own training facilities in Syria and in the parts of Iraq ISIS now controls.

The resurgence of al-Qaeda in Iraq, where ISIS now controls 3 of Iraq's 18 provinces can be directly linked to President Obama's covert decision to support and arm the Syrian rebels, and, as we will eventually find out when the truth about Benghazi surfaces, to his intervention in Libya. We have only estimates of how many jihadis with Western citizenship have been trained and indoctrinated there, and no one in the Administration is paying any attention to how many have received U.S. arms, money and training.

In late October 2013, Mike Rogers, chairman of the US House Intelligence Committee, warned that al Qaeda allies in Syria were now "talking about conducting external operations, which is exactly what happened in Afghanistan, which led to 9/11."

'External operations'...that's pretty much what's going on in Iraq right now.And it isn't just Iraq.

Hundreds of EU citizens have ended up in the ranks of ISIS (The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria), Al Nusrah and al-Qaeda, and a number of them who have returned are actively involved in terrorism on the home front.

Iraq’s Largest Refinery Falls to Insurgents

June 14, 2014

"ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Insurgents who have been sweeping across Iraq and are moving toward Baghdad, seized Iraq’s largest oil refinery on Friday, multiple sources told Rudaw.

The Baiji facility, which is in Salahaddin province and processes 320,000 barrels per day (bpd), is fully intact and continues to operate under orders from the militants, the sources said.

They said the insurgents also were in control of the nearby Ajeel oil field."

Iraq Crisis Brings America And Iran 'Closer'

June 14, 2014

"In a rare overlap of interests, the US and Iran find themselves on the same side over the Iraq insurgency, writes Tim Marshall.

One of the by-products of the threat to Baghdad from Sunni Islamist jihadists is the potential for co-operation between the USA and Iran, both of which are backing the Iraqi government.

This in turn would help the ongoing dialogue between the two countries about Iran's alleged nuclear weapons programme.

Shia-dominated Iran does not want Iraq's Shia-led government to fall and is moving to shore up the Iraqi capital's defences in order to maintain influence there.

With both the US and Iran countries for once having the same short-term aims, there are degrees of co-operation they can undertake.

The Iranians are already thought to be in Baghdad at a command and control level – assisting the Iraqi military with its response."

Iraq arrest that exposed wealth and power of Isis jihadists
Michael Chulov
June 15, 2014
"The story of Isis, the band of militants that came from nowhere with nothing to having $2bn and two cities."
"Two days before Mosul fell to the Islamic insurgent group Isis (the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant), Iraqi commanders stood eyeballing its most trusted messenger. The man, known within the extremist group as Abu Hajjar, had finally cracked after a fortnight of interrogation and given up the head of Isis's military council.
"He said to us, 'you don't realise what you have done'," an intelligence official recalled. "Then he said: 'Mosul will be an inferno this week'.'
Several hours later, the man he had served as a courier and been attempting to protect, Abdulrahman al-Bilawi, lay dead in his hideout near Mosul. From the home of the dead man and the captive, Iraqi forces hoovered up more than 160 computer flash sticks which contained the most detailed information yet known about the terror group.
The treasure trove included names and noms de guerre of all foreign fighters, senior leaders and their code words, initials of sources inside ministries and full accounts of the group's finances.
"We were all amazed and so were the Americans," a senior intelligence official told the Guardian. "None of us had known most of this information."
ISIS, with gains in Iraq, closes in on founder Zarqawi’s violent vision
June 14, 2014
Joby Warrick
"On the eve of the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, a 36-year-old Jordanian who called himself “the Stranger” slipped into the suburbs of Baghdad armed with a few weapons, bags of cash and an audacious plan for starting a war he hoped would unite Sunni Muslims across the Middle East.
The tattooed ex-convict and high school dropout had few followers and scant ties to the local population. Yet, the Stranger — soon to be known widely as Abu Musab al-Zarqawi — quickly rallied thousands of Iraqis and foreign fighters to his cause. He launched spectacular suicide bombings and gruesome executions targeting Americans, Shiites and others he saw as obstacles to his vision for a Sunni caliphate stretching from Syria to the Persian Gulf."
Breaking news update! Iraqis shut down internet at U.S. Embassy in Baghdad
June 14, 2014

"Just minutes ago news came from within the United States Embassy in Baghdad that the Iraqis have shut down internet service for those barricaded inside. Limited text messages via private cell phones are still coming through.
United States Marines as well as private contractors from security firms based in the U.S. are in charge of securing the facility. Many of those employed by the private security agencies come from the U.S., as well as African countries, such as Nigeria and Kenya.
It is unknown how many of the more than 5,000 U.S. civilians in Baghdad are actually taking refuge inside the embassy compound. NBC war correspondent, Richard Engel reported last night that civilians in and around Baghdad have boarded up residences and businesses."
US Orders Partial Evacuation Of Baghdad Embassy As Aircraft Carrier Arrives In Gulf
June 14, 2014
Tyler Durden
"Earlier today we reported that despite, or rather due to, all the confusing propaganda from either side, it was not exactly clear whether and how far away from Baghdad the ISIS offensive had been halted (if at all). It appears the confusion has also impacted none other than the US State Department, which moments ago announced it would evacuate an "substantial number" of the whopping 5,500 staff situated in the US embassy in Baghdad on the banks of the Tigris river, staff which incidentally is the largest of any US embassy. Additionally, the State Dept said that some additional U.S. govt security personnel will be added to Baghdad staff as result of instability and violence in certain areas of Iraq."

Militants Claim Mass Execution of Iraqi Soldiers
June 14, 2014

"BAGHDAD — Militants from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria boasted on Twitter that they had executed 1,700 Iraqi government soldiers, posting gruesome photos to support their claim.
The authenticity of the photographs and the insurgents’ claim could not be verified, and Iraqi government officials initially cast doubt on whether such a mass execution took place. There were also no reports of large numbers of funerals in the Salahuddin Province area, where the executions were said to have been conducted.
If the claim is true, it would be the worst mass atrocity in either Syria or Iraq in recent years, surpassing even the chemical weapons attacks in the Syrian suburbs of Damascus last year, which killed 1,400 people and were attributed to the Syrian government.

June 15, 2014
"Amman (AFP) - The unrest sweeping Iraq is a direct result of the world's indifference to the conflict in neighbouring Syria, former peace envoy Lakhdar Brahimi told AFP in an interview on Sunday.
Jihadist-led militants launched an offensive six days ago and swiftly advanced to within 80 kilometres (50 miles) of Baghdad's city limits, bringing Iraq's security forces to the brink of collapse.
Brahimi, who resigned in May as the UN-Arab League mediator for Syria, said the international community's inaction on the conflict in Syria had precipitated the crisis in Iraq.
"It is a well known rule: a conflict of this kind (in Syria) cannot stay confined within the borders of one country," Brahimi said."
So the situation in Iraq is deteriorating, and quickly.
Ukraine faces gas cut threat as talks with Russia fail
By Natalia Zinets and Vladimir Soldatkin
June 15, 2014
"KIEV/MOSCOW (Reuters) - Ukraine faces the threat of Russia cutting off gas supplies when a 0600 GMT deadline passes on Monday after talks on a long-running gas pricing dispute failed.
Russian natural gas producer Gazprom said it was not extending the deadline for Ukraine to start paying off its gas debts after the discussions ended in the early hours of the morning in Kiev, raising the prospect of disruptions to gas flows to the European Union via Ukraine.
The breakdown of the talks is likely to increase political tensions that have mounted in the past few days between Kiev and Moscow as Ukrainian government forces clashed heavily with pro-Russian separatists in east Ukraine."

This is supposedly a video of a convoy of Russian vehicles headed to the Ukraine, but since I cannot speak Russian, well this is what translate says
"In the border of Ukraine moving column of military equipment column of about 200 units"

Israeli jet fighters strike Gaza

June 15, 2014

"Gaza, June 16 (IANS) An Israeli airstrike Monday targetted several military sites used by the members of the Islamic Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli warplanes also raided five military bases used by Hamas militants and Islamic jihad group in Khanyoumis and Dier al-Balah cities, south of the Gaza Strip, Xinhua reported.

The airstrikes came a few hours after two rockets were fired from Gaza at Israel.

Security forces in Gaza earlier evacuated their sites and bases on expectation of Israeli airstrikes.

The escalation also followed Israeli accusations that the Hamas movement, which rules the Gaza Strip, was behind kidnapping three Israeli teenagers Thursday near the West Bank city of Hebron."

Israel expands West Bank hunt for missing teens, Palestinian killed

Ali Sawafta

June 15, 2014

"(Reuters) - Israeli forces searching for three teenagers believed to have been kidnapped swept into a second West Bank city on Monday, touching off street confrontations in which they killed a Palestinian, witnesses and hospital officials said.

The bloodshed near the de facto Palestinian capital of Ramallah marked an escalation in a dragnet which risks ensnaring U.S.-backed President Mahmoud Abbas though it targets Hamas, Islamist rivals with which he agreed a power-share in April.

Witnesses said Palestinians threw rocks at soldiers conducting house-to-house searches in al-Jilazoun refugee camp, outside Ramallah, before dawn. Army gunfire killed a 20-year-old Palestinian and wounded another, hospital officials said."

What is wrong with the human race, that we feel it's ok to do such things to each other?  Strife everywhere, including Kenya. I still think something is going on with all of this, that we are not getting yet.  What is the bigger picture, and why is Kerry doing all the speaking for Obama all of a sudden. Sure seems strange.

Monatom posted the following article on the "End Games" thread in Gen. Disc.  I am reposting it here, because it gives the situation in Iraq a new look.  At this point, who knows what's really going on?

Iraqi crisis: Terrorist attacks or popular uprising?

June 16, 2014

"BRUSSELS, June 14 (UPI) --The popular uprising continues unabated in Iraq, with the successive liberation of its cities and the collapse of Maliki's forces as they retreat and desert en mass in the face of coordinated tribal opposition.
Following the shock of dramatic changes that have taken place with lightening speed, a question keeps surfacing: Is what we are witnessing in Iraq an uprising by Iraqis or an attack by a terrorist group?

Maliki and his patrons in Tehran are insistent on the claim that regions of Iraq have fallen into the hands of extremist terrorists of the Islamic State of Iraq in the Levant (ISIL). But this claim is ludicrous and defies logic. The liberation of approximately 100,000 square kilometers of Iraqi territory with a population of several million in a matter of a few days could not possibly be the work of an isolated extremist group with no more than several thousand, and probably no more than several hundred members. There are increasingly many indications that it is tribes and ordinary Iraqi citizens who have risen up in anger against Maliki."

Gas transit pipeline explodes in Ukraine

June 17, 2014

"An explosion has struck a pipeline in the central Ukrainian Poltava region. Witnesses say flames from the blast are up to 200 meter high.

“The explosion occurred at about 14:45 local time in a field,” the local police press-service said in a statement. Due to the “flame and the high temperatures,” it was “impossible to get closer to the epicenter.”

The “Brotherhood” natural gas pipeline (Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod) is about one kilometer away from the nearest settlement. No injuries have been reported from the blast. Fire fighting crews have been deployed to the scene.

The blaze, which according to the Interior Ministry towered 100 meters high, was put out by “between 4 and 5 pm.”

The Iraqi cabinet said in a statement that Riyadh is supporting and financing the Takfiri militants of the ISIL.

It added that the Arab kingdom must be held responsible for the crimes committed at the hands of the insurgents.

"We strongly condemn this stance," the statement read, adding, "The Saudi government should be held responsible for the dangerous crimes committed by these terrorist groups."

Israel bombs Gaza targets in retaliation for rocket fire

June 17, 2014

"Israel’s Air Force bombed four terror sites in the Gaza Strip in retaliation for a rocket attack from Gaza on southern Israel.

The airstrikes late Monday night hit a terror activity site in the southern Gaza Strip, a weapon manufacturing facility in the northern Gaza Strip, and weapon storage facilities in central and southern Gaza, the Israeli military said.

The rockets from Gaza on Ashkelon earlier that evening had landed in an open field, causing no injuries.

A day earlier, two rockets fired from Gaza on Ashkelon were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system, while another two landed in open areas."

Islamist militants kill 15 more in new attack on Kenyan coast

June 17, 2014

"MPEKETONI Kenya (Reuters) - Somali-linked Islamist militants killed at least 15 people and torched houses in a second night of attacks on Kenya's coast, a day after an assault on a town left almost 50 dead.

Armed men went door to door hours before dawn in Poromoko village, ordered people outside and made them recite the Islamic creed, said one witness. He did not see what happened to anyone who failed.

Somalia's al Shabaab militants claimed responsibility for the two days of attacks and said it would continue its campaign in the east African nation, whose tourist industry has been battered by a rise in militant violence.

The militant group has said it is punishing Kenya for sending troops to Somalia to confront its Islamist fighters."

Boko Haram blamed for Nigeria village attacks; 15 killed, chief kidnapped

June 17, 2014

By Aminu Abubakar, for CNN

"Kano, Nigeria (CNN) -- Nearly 20 suspected Boko Haram gunmen opened fire on market vendors in Nigeria, killing 15 people in Borno state, witnesses say.

They also burned a local traders market, several homes and a church, said residents who survived the Sunday attack on the remote Christian village of Daku in the district of Askira Uba.

This is the latest raid in northeast Borno state near Chibok, where militants from the Islamist group shocked the world when they kidnapped nearly 300 Nigerian schoolgirls two months ago. <<<<still they haven't found those girls, why not I wonder?

Boko Haram has terrorized Nigeria's Borno state in recent years, in an effort to create an Islamic state."

I have said from the beginning of this thread, that I felt that the Iraq situation is important and encompasses more than we even have a clue to, or where it's going to end up.  Economics, oil/gas, borders, empires (past/present) religions? I continue to use the word, Chaos, to describe this whole thing.  So to begin this particular post, I will mention a few things that we need to think about, regarding events happening in our own country. Do these things also play into this whole scenario in some way?

Think about

High ranking military men being replaced

The immigration fiasco taking place right now, where our borders are wide open for others to come in and how it has our border patrol tearing their hair out in frustration and in the past have reported that all coming in were NOT of Spanish descent.

UN vehicles being seen and transported in Georgia, people at checkpoints stopping people with DHS uniforms/Russian accents in the Kentucky/Tenn. area.

DHS private army and all the ammo they have now stored and how all agencies are armed

No, not providing links to these, because you know it's true, and can be found in a search on the web and on you tube, just things to think about.

The U.S. Navy Just Announced The End Of Big Oil And No One Noticed

Justin Rosario    from April 12, 2014    Tx Phillip

"Surf’s up! The Navy appears to have achieved the Holy Grail of energy independence – turning seawater into fuel:

After decades of experiments, U.S. Navy scientists believe they may have solved one of the world’s great challenges: how to turn seawater into fuel.

The new fuel is initially expected to cost around $3 to $6 per gallon, according to the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, which has already flown a model aircraft on it.

Curiously, this doesn’t seem to be making much of a splash (no pun intended) on the evening news. Let’s repeat this: The United States Navy has figured out how to turn seawater into fuel and it will cost about the same as gasoline."

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2014/04/12/navy-ends-big-oil/  <<<ok, why isn't anyone paying attention, Iraq's oil is not so important after all, maybe  Maybe that is why O isn't so keen to jump in.

Name of Isis-fighters: Iraqis appear to capture en masse jihadists data

June 16, 2014

"Iraqi soldiers appear to have intercepted 160 USB sticks by a courier of Isis militia. Then found, according to “Guardian” the names of all foreign fighters in the terrorist group – and an overview of their finances."

now doesn't that seem nothing, if not ridiculous?  Sure, they are going to let this info be intercepted, not unless they intended it to be.  next article

ISIS Stunner: Terrorist Organization's Annual Reports Unveiled; Reveal Full "Investment Highlights"

Tyler Durden

June 17, 2014

"In a day and age in which corporations rule the world, the brutal Al-Qaeda spin off known as ISIS is learning from the best, and as part of its credentialising and image-building has done something only major corporations do at the end of every year: it has issued annual reports for the past 2 years (unaudited, unless Ernst & Young has quietly upgraded from "massaging" the books for Lehman's Repo 105 and, of course, the New York Fed, without our knowledge).

That's right: as the FT reported earlier, "Since 2012 the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, (known as Isis) has issued annual reports, outlining in numerical and geographical detail its operations – the number of bombings, assassinations, checkpoints, suicide missions, cities taken over and even “apostates” converted to the Isis cause."

But while publicly traded corporations focus more on revenues, margins, and profits, ISIS has other key considerations:

In 2013 alone, the group’s report claimed nearly 10,000 operations in Iraq: 1,000 assassinations, 4,000 improvised explosive devices planted and hundreds of radical prisoners freed. In the same year it claimed hundreds of “apostates” had been turned.

How ISIS Split From Al Qaeda And Became Even More Dangerous

Matt Schiavenza, International Business Times
June 18, 2014

"Sometimes, even terrorist organizations need a divorce. On Feb. 3, 2014, al Qaeda formally severed its relationship with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), a fellow terrorist organization. Problems between the two groups were numerous: al Qaeda felt that ISIS's targeting of civilians alienated the local population, and that the group -- Sunni hardliners -- did not share al Qaeda’s mission to unite all Muslims."

Here's Why ISIS Militants Won't Stop With Iraq

Claude Salhani, OilPrice.com

June 17, 2014

"The slaughterhouse that Iraq has become in the past week is the stuff that nightmares are made of. And this is just the beginning.

The threat emanating from the group calling itself the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant is so serious to the stability of the region -- and beyond – that even Iran said it would not oppose U.S. military intervention if it were aimed at the Islamists who have embarked on a rampage of murder and looting across Iraq."

Sunni Militants Control '75 %' Of Iraq's Largest Oil Refinery

Iraq crisis: Baghdad requests US air strikes against Sunni militants – live

a good summary they update

One Glaring Problem With Any US Cooperation With Iran
From June 16, 2014

"Iran and the United States are reportedly discussing possible security cooperation in Iraq, where an extremist group has seized large portions of the country's north. Some members of Congress, including the usually-hawkish Lindsay Graham, seem to be on board with a greater level of U.S.-Iranian cooperation.

There is one glaring issue regarding that partnership.

If the plan comes to pass, Washington and Tehran would be working together to fight an organization whose presence Iran has tolerated on its own territory, and that it might have directly helped nurture — during a time when that group was responsible for killing thousands of Iraqis and American soldiers."<<<yes how about we do not forget them shall we??

Explosion rocks World Cup viewing venue in Nigeria

June 17, 2014

Adamu Adamu

"DAMATURU, Nigeria (AP) — A suicide bomber detonated a tricycle taxi packed with explosives at an outdoor World Cup viewing center in a northeast Nigerian city Tuesday night, and witnesses said several people were killed.

Hospital workers said the death likely will rise with 15 people critically wounded and casualties still coming in to the main hospital at Damaturu, capital of Yobe state.

Police Assistant Superintendent Nathan Cheghan confirmed the explosion but said rescue workers were being careful for fear of secondary explosions. Islamic extremists of the Boko Haram group frequently time secondary explosions to kill people who rush to the scene of a bomb blast."

RAF Typhoons intercept Russian bomber and fighters

June 18, 2014

By Nick Collins, and Agencies

Three RAF Typhoons scrambled to intercept Russian fighters and bombers in the air over the Baltic

Two Russian Su27 Flanker with a RAF Typhoon fighter Photo: RAF

"RAF Typhoon fighter jets were scrambled into action to head off four separate groups of Russian aircraft which were spotted flying near the Baltic on Tuesday.

Two jets from 3 (Fighter) Squadron were dispatched to ensure the planes did not encroach on the airspace of Estonia, Lithuania or Latvia as part of their Nato mission to police the area.

The aircraft were identified as a Russian Tupolev Tu22 Backfire bomber, four Sukhoi Su27 Flanker fighters, one Beriev A50 Mainstay early-warning aircraft and an Antonov An26 Curl transport aircraft.

The four groups appeared to be carrying out a “variety of routine training” in international airspace near the zone controlled by the Baltic states and were “monitored by the Typhoons and escorted on their way”, the Ministry of Defence said

Four Typhoons were deployed to the Siauliai air base in Lithuania last month to support a Polish-led Nato force which is operating in the region."

Seems as though this happens once a month. Two other links at site

ISIS War Plan to 2020 Exposed! Worldwide Genocide by Elite Design!

Published June 18, 2014
In the book Hussein describes what he says is al-Qaeda’s grand strategy, a sequence of events that spreads over nearly 20 years. The first phase, “The Awakening”, began with the September 11th attacks, which were meant to lure the United States into military conflict in the Middle East. This stage, Hussein says, ended with the American capture of Baghdad in early April 2003. In the second phase, “Eye-Opening”, al-Qaeda will become more than just an organization but a popular trend fueled by the American occupation of Iraq and the Arab media through mediums like the internet. This will last through 2006. During the third stage, which he calls “Arising and Standing Up”, al-Qaeda will begin focusing its energies on attacking the secular governments in Syria and Turkey and also against Israel. When this ends in 2010, the fourth stage will work to continue weakening American strength in the Middle East while also causing the capitulation of governments across the Arab world. From 2013 to 2016, Hussein says the Islamic movement will have shifted the balance of power in the Middle East away from the West and Israel, and the Islamists will be supported by new allies such as China. In this environment a new caliphate will be established. The sixth phase, lasting until 2020, is that of “Total Confrontation”, when an Islamic army and newly formed caliphate will defeat the non-believers in a global conflict. Following this, a final phase will be that of the caliphate’s “definitive victory”.
