I just thought....

Maybe the Russian government is telling their people what to expect and involving everyone to get prepared for it, and the US gov isn't telling their people nothing....(´Д`)

To start with, Russian gov has been shifting hell a lot of military peeps back in their territory to protect their government for some years. Last year I thought that happened twice and many were placed in northern end of the country, if my memory is correct.

...I wondered if Russian gov is actually telling the people about the expected raining of massive number of meteorites impacting the surface of Earth as the reason for the drill.(・ω<)☆

Varelie mentioned it in the vid from the Bases Project that they want to reactivate the planetary system of protection network that's been damaged and not repaired for looooooooong time, for they found out that they are expecting to cop such mass meteorite hitting of Earth.

When that happens, people do need to go underground in a big way.

Then I can understand that they are getting people to take part in the massive emergency training.

Just a thought from a way different place of thoughts on this matter....LOL(≧ω≦)

Putin cancels visit to France amid Syria tensions

October 11, 2016

"Russian President Vladimir Putin has canceled a planned visit to France after Paris shortened the program for the trip. The development comes amid increased tensions between Russia and France over Moscow’s veto of a French UN Security Council draft resolution on Syria.

Putin was expected to arrive in Paris next week, but the visit has now been postponed, the Kremlin confirmed.
“There were some events scheduled, including the opening of a Russian cultural and religious center, [and] exhibitions. Unfortunately, those events were struck off the program, so the president decided to cancel his visit to France for now,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
The Kremlin official would not comment on why France chose to change the program of Putin’s visit, saying that “this question should be addressed to the French side.”
Commenting on the cancelation of the visit, French President Francois Hollande said on Tuesday he was prepared to meet Putin “at any moment” to discuss Syria.
"I consider it is necessary to have dialogue with Russia, but it must be firm and frank otherwise it has no place and it is a charade. I'm ready to meet President Putin if we can make progress on peace," the French leader said during a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
Earlier, French diplomatic sources told Reuters that France wanted to downgrade the planned visit and cancel all events except a working meeting with President Hollande on Syria and that Russia chose to postpone the visit instead."
Fragments of US-made bomb allegedly found at Yemen funeral bombing site
October 11, 2016
"Photos and video have emerged online of what is claimed to be fragments of a US-made bomb found at the scene of a deadly strike on a mourning hall in the Yemeni capital Saana. Saudi Arabia had earlier denied responsibility for the attack.
One photo, which a prominent Saana lawyer posted on his Facebook page, shows what is claimed to be a fragment of an Mk-82 precision bomb produced by Raytheon, one of the main US defense contractors. The photo was allegedly taken at the scene of the bombing, and has a serial number and words in English referring to the bomb model written on it.
Another photo taken by an ITV News correspondent on the scene shows fragments of what is the same type of bomb, according to a local munitions expert he consulted.

Russia To Stage Military Exercises With Egypt In Days
October 11, 2016
"Russia and Egypt will hold joint military drills involving airborne troops on Egyptian territory for the first time within days, the Russian defense ministry said on Tuesday.
“The joint Russian-Egyptian drills will happen in mid-October 2016 on the territory of Egypt,” it said, without specifying their start date.
The drills, called “Protectors of Friendship-2016”, will include 500 troops, 15 planes and helicopters and 10 military hardware units, the ministry said, describing the exercises as “anti-terrorist”.
“The airborne delivery by parachute of several Russian airborne troops’ сombat vehicles to the desert climate of Egypt will occur for the first time in history,” the ministry said.
Last year Russia and Egypt held their first-ever joint naval exercises in the Mediterranean, which included the Black Sea fleet’s flagship Moskva missile cruiser.
The decision comes a day after Russian media reported that Egypt is in talks to allow Russia use of military bases across the country, including an air base on the Mediterranean coast close to the border with Libya.
On Friday, Egypt voted in favour of a Russian-sponsored UN Security Council resolution regarding the bombardment of Aleppo."
Russian Government Officials Told To Immediately Bring Back Children Studying Abroad
October 11, 2016
Tyler Durden
"In Europe, when it gets serious, you have to lie... at least if you are an unelected bureaucrat like Jean-Claude Juncker. In Russia, however, when it gets serious, attention immediately turns to the children.
Which is why we read a report in Russian website Znak published Tuesday, according to which Russian state officials and government workers were told to bring back their children studying abroad immediately, even if means cutting their education short and not waiting until the end of the school year, and re-enroll them in Russian schools, with some concern. The article adds that if the parents of these same officials also live abroad "for some reason", and have not lost their Russian citizenship, should also be returned to the motherland. Znak cited five administration officials as the source of the report.
The "recommendation" applies to all: from the administration staff, to regional administratiors, to lawmakers of all levels. Employees of public corporations are also subject to the ordinance. One of the sources said that anyone who fails to act, will find such non-compliance to be a "complicating factor in the furtherance of their public sector career." He added that he was aware of several such cases in recent months.
It appears that the underlying reason behind the command is that the Russian government is concerned about the optics of having children of the Russian political elite being educated abroad, while their parents appear on television talking about patriotism and being "surrounded by enemies."
While we doubt the impacted children will be happy by this development, some of the more patriotic locals, if unimpacted, are delighted. Such as Vitaly Ivanov, a political scientist who believes that the measure to return children of officials from studying abroad, is "long overdue." According Ivanoc, the education of children of the Russian elite abroad is subject to constant ridicule and derision against the ruling regime. "People note the hypocrisy of having a centralized state and cultivating patriotism and anti-Western sentiment, while children of government workers study abroad. You can not serve two gods, one must choose.
Ultimately the motivation behind Putin's decision is unclear: whether it is to show Russia's high-ranking oligarchs who is boss, to boost a sense of patriotism among the nation by sending a symbolic message that the west is no longer a welcome destination for Russia's rich kids, or just a preemptive move of repatriating of any individuals affiliated with Russian politics for other unknown reasons; however it underscores the severity of the ongoing diplomatic crisis and just how significant the upcoming isolation between Russia and the West is likely to become in the coming months - unless of course tensions deescalate dramatically in the very near future - resulting in even greater collapse in global commerce and a further slowdown to world economic growth, which may ultimately lead to an armed conflict, whether regional or global, as the only possible outcome."

"All normal channels of collaboration between the United States and Russia have been cut off across a wide range of critical issues, Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak said on Tuesday.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Kislyak added that the United States and Russia once had a bilateral commission of 21 working groups focused on science, technology, military, nuclear and other issues, which no longer exists.
“All the normal channels of cooperation between states [uS and Russia] are frozen,” Kislyak stated.

Obama To Decide Friday On Military Action In Syria

October 13, 2016

Tyler Durden

"Two weeks ago when the US broke off bilateral relations with Russia over the ongoing Syrian proxy war, we reported that as part of America's "next steps" would be a discussion on military options. As Reuters reported then, the "discussions were being held at "staff level," and have yet to produce any recommendations to President Barack Obama, who has resisted ordering military action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the country's multi-sided civil war. "The president has asked all of the agencies to put forward options, some familiar, some new, that we are very actively reviewing," Blinken said. "When we are able to work through these in the days ahead we'll have an opportunity to come back and talk about them in detail."

Fast forward to today, when as Reuters once again reports, the time has come for the US to make a decision: on Friday President Barack Obama and his top foreign policy advisers are expected to meet to consider their military and other options in Syria as Syrian and Russian aircraft continue to pummel Aleppo and other targets.
The tensions here are well known: some of the more hawkish "top officials" told Reuters that the United States must act more forcefully in Syria or "risk losing what influence it still has over moderate rebels and its Arab, Kurdish and Turkish allies in the fight against Islamic State." Naturally, this means that one set of options includes direct U.S. military action such as air strikes on Syrian military bases, munitions depots or radar and anti-aircraft bases.
That is also the scenario which General Joseph Dunford warned may lead to war with Russia. Indeed, the quoted said one danger of such action is that Russian and Syrian forces are often co-mingled, "raising the possibility of a direct confrontation with Russia that Obama has been at pains to avoid." This is also known as the "world war" scenario.
Luckily, there are options.
One alternative, U.S. officials said, is allowing allies to provide U.S.-vetted rebels with more sophisticated weapons, although not shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles, "which Washington fears could be used against Western airliners." Like, for example, what happened above the Donestk region during the peak of the Ukraine proxy war in 2014.
As Reuters adds, Friday's planned meeting is the latest in a long series of internal debates - which have so far achieved nothing but escalate the situation which fast approaches a point of no return - about what, if anything, to do to end a 5-1/2 year civil war that has killed at least 300,000 people and displaced half the country's population. According to insiders, the ultimate aim of any new action could be to "bolster the battered moderate rebels so they can weather what is now widely seen as the inevitable fall of rebel-held eastern Aleppo to the forces of Russian- and Iranian-backed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad." The question is whether it was also "bolster" al-Qaeda linked jihadists whom the US has been supporting for the past several months as a result of the perverse merger of "moderate" rebel forces in Syria.
Apparently, there is also an element of pride:"
US Supported Saudi Terrorist Bombing Incident Massacres Hundreds In Yemen
October 13, 2016
Lestado Codicus
"Yemen is Obama’s war like all other regional conflicts, others elsewhere – solely to advance America’s imperium, the cost in human lives and vast destruction of no consequence.
Washington’s war on Yemen began long before escalation in March 2015, using Riyadh terror-bombing to strike US-selected targets, civilians in harm’s way, massacred freely, facing death by violence or extreme deprivation.
The official death count way understates the true toll from one of many made-in-the-USA imperial wars. On Saturday, the latest atrocity occurred – a Sanaa Houthi funeral ceremony willfully targeted.
According to Houthi health minister Abdul-Salam al-Madani, quoted by the SABA news agency, “(t)he number of casualties from the air force of the Saudi-American aggression at the main hall in the capital Sanaa has risen to more than 450 dead and wounded” – a shocking high crime even for Riyadh and Washington, largely affecting civilians, massacred in cold blood.
More than 3,000 Yemeni mourners attended funeral ceremonies for Houthi interior minister Jalal al-Roweishan’s father – Saturday’s terror-bombing the deadliest single war crime incident so far in over 18 months of fighting since last year, bodies of victims mutilated and charred.
Washington bears full responsibility. Riyadh shares it. Conflict shows no prospect for resolution."

Philippines' Duterte, in China, announces 'separation' from US

October 20, 2016

"Beijing (AFP) - Philippines' President Rodrigo Duterte declared his "separation" from longstanding ally the United States in Beijing on Thursday, as he rebalances his country's diplomacy towards China.

Duterte is in China for a four-day trip seen as confirming his tilt away from Washington and towards Beijing's sphere of influence -- and its deep pockets.
"I announce my separation from the United States," he said to applause at a meeting in the Chinese capital.
"America does not control our lives. Enough bullshit," he added in a rambling speech that flipped between languages.
"How can you be the most powerful industrial country when you owe China and you are not paying it?"
His comments came after he met his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People on Tiananmen Square, with the two men pledging to enhance trust and friendship, while playing down a maritime dispute.
Xi called the two countries "neighbours across the sea" with "no reason for hostility or confrontation", the official Xinhua news agency said."

Duterte flip overs

I wasn't sure if this post is good to sit here or not...

But since breezy's post above connects to this one....I will leave this post here for now.

1) Went to China, China releases their news paper stating "China and Philippines will shake hands for Sth China Sea ISLANDS after Duterte met Xiu. (http://www.iza.ne.jp/kiji/world/news/161017/wor16101723250026-n1.html)

2) Duterte got reported to say "FO" to the US

3) He got back home, realised the NATION SAYS OTHERWISE firmly. It can create lowering of his support in a big way. He flipped over his statement about Philippines splitting away from the US in all matters. He now basically says Philippines is not in the position to be able to do that.

1200 adults in the Philippines responded to the survey and the result from late September 2016 is below:
Social Weather Station did the survey in Philippines.
76% still trusts the US.
55% don't trust China.
Pure reliability view from Philippines to other countries:
#1-the US (+66 purity derived from taking negative readings from positive readings)
#2-Australia (+47)
Where's China... ???

Russia's Aircraft Carrier Group Prepares Strike on Terrorists in Aleppo Province

November 8, 2016

"A source within Russia's Ministry of Defense told Gazeta.ru that the Navy's aircraft carrier group is ready to launch a strike targeting Daesh terrorists in the province of Aleppo in the next 24 hours. The attack, which will likely engage Kalibr cruise missiles, will target militants outside of Aleppo, and not the residential areas.

The group, which includes Russia's 'Admiral Kuznetsov' aircraft carrier, 'Pyotr Veliky' nuclear power guided missile cruiser and two destroyers, has completed its transfer to the Mediterranean Sea and is getting ready to strike, the MoD source said.

"The group's main goal is to carry out missile strikes on terrorists outside of Aleppo that are attempting to get into the city", the source added.

He also said that Kalibr cruise missiles will be used in the strikes, but did not specify from which ships the missiles will be launched.

No Russian surface ship that is currently in the Med is capable of firing the Kalibr-NK missiles, but submarine-launched Kalibr-PL could be used in the strike. The surface-launched type of Kalibr missile could also be launched from the Caspian Sea. "

Jim Stone: Russia Launching A Bombing Sortie On ISIS Every 21 Seconds....Apparently He Got Trump's Concurrance First...

Posted By: Watchman
Date: Tuesday, 15-Nov-2016 16:06:38

Russia was no doubt emboldened by Trump as POTUS and has launched massive carrier based airstrikes with heavy bombers, cruise missiles, artillery, and infantry in Syria to wipe out ISIS. This story just broke.

Now let's see what Obama's responses are, with U.S. warships within eyeshot of the Russian warships (the Mediterranean is not big enough for both navies).

OK, Here it is on RT - https://www.rt.com/news/366995-anti-terrorist-operation-carrier/

TRUMP WILL END THE WAR ON TERROR. All it will take is a little cleanup and a cutoff of American funding for the terrorists.
And now we witness the end of the Obama-Clinton legacy, before he's even out of office!

Trump Pledges To Withdraw U.S. Support For ISIS

Posted By: RumorMail [Send E-Mail]
Date: Tuesday, 15-Nov-2016 15:56:02

President-elect Donald Trump has declared that on his watch the United States will stop supporting ISIS and militant opposition groups in Syria.

Instead the U.S. will work with Russia and the Syrian government to defeat ISIS and the terrorist organizations attempting to overthrow Assad’s government.

Trump stated that while he “did not like [Mr Assad] at all”, he respects Syria’s sovereignty and believes the U.S. has no place providing assistance to Islamic terrorists attempting to overthrow a foreign government.

“I’ve had an opposite view of many people regarding Syria. My attitude was you’re fighting Syria, Syria is fighting Isis, and you have to get rid of Isis,” he said on Friday.

The president-elect believes shoring up Assad’s Syrian government is the best way to stop the Islamic extremism that has flourished in the chaos of the civil war and threatened Western countries.

“Russia is now totally aligned with Syria, and now you have Iran, which is becoming powerful, because of us, is aligned with Syria… Now we’re backing rebels against Syria, and we have no idea who those people are,” he told the Wall Street Journal, referring to the hardline Islamic terrorists that make up the opposition ranks. If the U.S. continues to attack Assad, “We end up fighting Russia,” he added.

To date the U.S. has supported rebels in Syria both logistically and financially, along with allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar – two states revealed to be supporting ISIS by WikiLeaks emails sent by Hillary Clinton to John Podesta.

Trump believes that rather than playing a risky game using Islamic militants as proxy soldiers in order to overthrow a foreign regime, the United States should instead focus on ridding the world of ISIS.

Anarchists clash with Athens police over Obama visit

Nov. 15, 2016            John Psaropoulos

"Protesters hit the streets throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails as Greek police respond with tear gas and stun grenades.

Athens, Greece - Police battled with anarchists late into the night following two marches protesting against US President Barack Obama's visit.

Greek police estimated as many as 150 anarchists were involved in the clashes. They responded to rocks and Molotov cocktails with tear gas and stun grenades.

"A march by PAME [the communist party labour union] ended peacefully. A second march pushed up against a police cordon and protesters threw two Molotov cocktails," an Athens police spokesman told Al Jazeera. "That's when the clashes began."

By late at night, police had confined the violence to the area of the Athens Polytechnic - a campus anarchists have used in the past as a safe haven from police, who aren't allowed onto university grounds without a request from the chancellor.

Police said there were no injuries or damage to private property.

Some 8,000 protesters walked through central avenues chanting slogans against the European Union, NATO, and the International Monetary Fund, a staple of left-wing marches.

Leftists normally hold an annual protest march outside the US embassy on November 17 to commemorate the crushing of a student uprising by a military dictatorship in 1973.

But Obama's arrival two days before kicked off demonstrations early this year."

Obama Tries to Cover Tracks of U.S. Ties to the Terrorists by Ordering a “Mop Up” of Washington’s Al Qaeda Leaders

Terminate with extreme prejudice...

Obama Tries to Cover Tracks of U.S. Ties to the Terrorists by Ordering a “Mop Up” of Washington’s Al Qaeda Leaders
By Grete Mautner - Global Research, Nov. 15, 2016

If you might have the impression that Barack Obama was the first US president that established close ties with various terrorist organizations across the world, you would be bitterly disappointed when you learn the truth. Even though Washington has always been pretty vocal about fighting terrorism, as a matter of fact, it nurtured various terrorist groups across the globe to undermine unwanted governments, seeking destabilization and consequent toppling of those governments that refused to bow to the so-called Western champions of democracy.

That’s exactly how Washington created al-Qaeda back in 1988 to fight Soviet influence in Afghanistan. Similarly, a quarter of a century later, the Obama administration created and armed the so-called Syrian opposition, that was later transformed into a dangerous and pretty disgusting weapon – ISIS.

It should also be noted that out of a number of various groups that form the core of ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra has always been the most combat-capable one. It would regularly face the Syrian army units on the field of battle in northwest regions of Syria. In turn, Jabhat al-Nusra is formed by 13 different subgroups, that do only share a common command structure among them. But should Washington at some point abandon its support of Jabhat al-Nusra, the fighting capacity of these subgroups would be severely diminished. That’s why the United States refused to abandon its ugly brainchild for years, even when the circumstances would demand otherwise. Back in 2012 the White House was forced into recognizing this group as terrorist organization, but that was pretty much it as far as the War on Terror is concerned.

It’s true that Pentagon has wasted thousands of tons of ordinance, while pretending that it’s trying to destroy ISIS and its affiliates in Iraq and Syria, but there has been no real struggle as it was officially admitted by the US State Department spokesman Mark Toner.

Moreover, according to the revelations made by a Jabhat al-Nusra militant in his interview for the German journal Focus, Washington has been directly supplying the group with TOW systems to increase its fighting capacity.

But when Trump surprised everyone by winning the recent presidential election, the Obama administration has started covering up its criminal activities in the remaining 70 days before the new president is inaugurated. Thus, the group that was engaged in a number of fishy schemes of the neocons over the years has found itself in the “to be cleaned up” list.

U.N. Official: Nearly A Million Syrians Are Living Under Siege

Nov. 22, 2016  Chelsea Bailey

snip  video

"A top United Nations official has called upon the Security Council to stop playing politics with the lives of Syrians and do everything in its power to bring an end to the violence in Aleppo.

UN Emergency Relief Coordinator Stephen O'Brien cast aside diplomacy Monday to speak bluntly about the rapidly deteriorating situation in Aleppo, which he described as a "slaughterhouse."

O'Brien said he was at his "wit's end as a human being" in the face of continued violence in Syria and questioned the purpose of UN meetings on the conflict, if the international body was unwilling to act.

"Shame on us all for not acting to stop the annihilation of eastern Aleppo and its people and much of the rest of Syria too," O'Brien said.

"If the Council can't come together to bring an end to sieges, then you and we must all ask ourselves: why are we having this session here this morning?"

Related: Bombing in Syria's Aleppo Kills 20, Knocks More Hospitals Out of Service

Nearly a million Syrians are living under siege in cities like Damascus, O'Brien said — and that is a dramatic increase from just months ago.

"This time last year, the number of besieged people stood at 393,700," he said. "Six months ago it stood at 486,700. Today, I have to report to you that, following a comprehensive review, we estimate that a total of 974,080 people — nearly one million Syrians — are living tonight under siege.

To compound the crisis, the last food rations from World Food Program were distributed on Nov. 13. In the past week, Syrian officials said all hospitals in besieged eastern Aleppo had been destroyed.

"Let me be clear: we are not just seeing a resumption of violence in Aleppo, this is not business as usual," he said. "What has been unleashed on civilians this past week is yet another low in an unrelenting inhuman onslaught — It is civilians who pay the price."

Erdogan: Turkish forces are in Syria to end Assad's rule

Nov. 29, 2016

"Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that the Turkish Army entered Syria to end the rule of President Bashar Assad, whom he accused of terrorism and causing the deaths of thousands.

“We entered [Syria] to end the rule of the tyrant al-Assad who terrorizes with state terror. [We didn’t enter] for any other reason,” the Turkish president said at the first Inter-Parliamentary Jerusalem Platform Symposium in Istanbul, as quoted by Hurriyet daily.

Erdogan said that Turkey has no territorial claims in Syria, but instead wants to hand over power to the Syrian population, adding that Ankara is seeking to restore “justice.”

“Why did we enter? We do not have an eye on Syrian soil. The issue is to provide lands to their real owners. That is to say we are there for the establishment of justice,” he said.

He went on to say that “in his estimation” almost 1 million people have died in the conflict in Syria, although no monitoring group has provided any similar figures. The latest UN estimate stands at 400,000 people killed in the five-year civil war.

Erdogan said that Turkey could not “endure” the unending killing of civilians and “had to enter Syria together with the Free Syrian Army.”

The Turkish leader also accused the UN of inability to influence the situation in Syria and said that the organization is ineffective in its current state.

“The world is bigger than five,” he said, referring to the number of permanent members on the UN Security Council, as reported by Hurriyet."

So then, Erdogan makes kissy kissy with Russia, only to act for what the US has been after all along? Assad's ouster? Is Putin going to allow this?  Something doesn't pass the smell test with this one.

UN Agrees to Stop Reporting Iraqi Casualties After Military Complains
Iraqi Army Accused Death Tolls of Hurting Morale
by Jason Ditz, December 04, 2016

Source:  http://news.antiwar.com/2016/12/04/un-agrees-to-stop-reporting-iraqi-casualties-after-military-complains/

Following complaints from the Iraqi government, the United Nations has agreed to stop recording casualty figures for the ISIS war in Iraq, meaning that November’s report of 1,959 deaths among Iraqi security forces will be the last deaths you’ll be hearing about from them.iraq1.jpg

Iraqi Army officials claimed the figure was an “exaggeration,” though they’ve offered no death tolls of their own for the fighting. They further accused the UN report of hurting morale by making the death toll known.

Israeli mafia trafficking Syrian children’s body organs

Supporting Israel's illegal organ transplant/tourism industry: Syrian children abducted from Idlib trafficked south to that "special state"

Ahlulbayt News Agency
Israeli mafia trafficking Syrian children’s body organs

The Arabic-language Al-Hadath news website quoted the sources as saying that some specific groups that have trained medics have kidnapped the children, mutilated their body organs and then left their corpses in remote areas or buried them.

According to them, an Israeli officer in Turkey is waiting for the children’s organs to be transferred to the black market for transplantation.

The sources said that the medical teams of these groups have anesthesiologists, surgeons and a number of armed forces who abduct children and transfer them to safe areas for surgery in brand-new and fully equipped

Earlier reports, in November, also said that the children who have been rescued from the camps of Abdullah Muhammad al-Muhaysini, a senior al Qaeda-linked cleric and the religious leader of Jeish al-Fatah terrorist group, are now threatened with the danger of trafficking their body organs by the terrorists.

Local sources in Idlib province told al-Akhbar newspaper that during the past two weeks, 15 people have been kidnapped from different districts, most of them children.

Also, social media activists have released tens of messages and warned the Idlib residents of the possibility of abduction of their children and trafficking of their body organs by the terrorist groups, saying that most of the kidnapped children have been transferred to Turkey.

Aleppo Freed, Biggest US Defeat Since Vietnam

Celebrations in the streets of Aleppo at the news that the city has been liberated

By Gordon Duff, Senior Editor and Ian Greenhalgh, Managing Editor

Aleppo has been liberated after almost four years of a barbarous and cruel occupation by the so-called Syrian opposition. The people of Aleppo are celebrating the fact, no longer will they be subjected to the most brutal, murderous regime imaginable. What really made Aleppo such a hellhole was not the privations of being a city under siege, nor was it the cruelty and barbarism of the occupying forces – it was the fact that no-one outside Syria was lifting a single finger to help them, they received no aid, no foreign volunteers came to provide medical help, no foreign government did a single thing to alleviate their suffering.

However, the MSM told a very different tale, night after night, the TV news was full of tales of brave aid workers, courageous doctors and all manner of volunteers who were trying to save the people of Aleppo. They kept telling us that aid convoys were flowing into the city to keep the people from starvation and that ambulances were ferrying the wounded to hospitals in Turkey. All of it was lies, an inversion of reality; the aid convoys were, in reality, supplying the occupying forces with arms and munitions as well as food and other essentials. The ambulances were also bringing in arms and supplies, the wounded they carried out to be treated in Turkish hospitals were not innocent civilians caught in the crossfire, they were ‘rebel’ fighters injured while fighting against the legitimate Syrian armed forces and their allies.

Aid Convoy Arrives in Efrin, Azaz Areas in Aleppo

Aid Convoy arrives in northern Aleppo, March 2016. The aid was delivered by the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC), in cooperation with Aleppo Governorate and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC).

This use of white trucks belonging to NGOs and aid agencies and clearly marked ambulances belonging to groups like the Red Crescent and Medecins San Frontiers was a cynical ploy to keep the occupying forces supplied without the Syrian and Russian air forces bombing the supply vehicles – just imagine the outcry in the western media if a Russian airstrike had taken out a supply convoy, they would have shown us countless scenes of burned out trucks and ambulances while decrying the Russian cruelty in preventing the aid from reaching the poor, innocent people of Aleppo; no mention would have been made of the real reason for the airstrike, not one syllable uttered about the arms and supplies being ferried to the occupying forces in those ‘aid convoys’.

‘Lies are their agenda’: Canadian journalist blasts MSM Syria coverage at UN event (VIDEO)
Published time: 14 Dec, 2016 14:05
Edited time: 14 Dec, 2016 15:14

Source:  Russia Today

Western mainstream media’s coverage of the Syrian war is “compromised” as their local sources are “not credible” and, in the case of Aleppo, not even there, a Canadian journalist said in an emotional speech at the UN.
“I’ve been many times to Homs, to Maaloula, to Latakia and Tartus [in Syria] and again, Aleppo, four times. And people’s support of their government is absolutely true. Whatever you hear in the corporate media is completely opposite,” Eva Bartlett, a Canadian journalist and rights activist, told a press conference arranged by the Syrian mission to the UN.

“And, on that note, what you hear in the corporate media, and I will name them – BBC, Guardian, the New York Times etc. – on Aleppo is also the opposite of reality,” she added. The mainstream media narrative, she argued, is meant to mislead the public about what is really happening in Syria by demonizing President Bashar Assad’s government and altering the facts on Russia’s support for Damascus.

Russian official found dead from gunshot wounds in Moscow

Dec. 20, 2016    Emma Reynolds

"THE head of a Russian foreign ministry department has been shot dead in Moscow, according to local media.
The government has not yet confirmed the reports.
A man’s body was found in an apartment with a gunshot wound to the head, REN TV reported.
Two shells were found along with a gun under the sink in the kitchen, a source told the news outlet. They claimed the wife of the man was also in the apartment.
Paramedics were filmed carrying a man wearing a white shirt into an ambulance.
The news comes on a dramatic day after nine were killed by a truck driving into a Berlin Christmas market and a Turkish off-duty police officer pulled out a gun at an art exhibition in Ankara and killed Russia’s ambassador to the country, shouting: “Don’t forget Aleppo, don’t forget Syria!”

Gen. Khalifa Hifter, the head of the self-styled Libyan National Army (LNA), has had a long list of allies. Starting as a participant in Gadhafi’s 1969 military coup, he rose steadily through the ranks before being captured by Chad during the 1987 war. He was disavowed by Gadhafi, but by 1988 was a top figure in the CIA-backed rebels.

The rebel force was short-lived, however, and Hifter was brought to the US as a CIA supported “refugee” in 1990. He participated in at least one other failed rebellion before the 2011 Arab Spring, when he claimed to be the head of the post-Gadhafi military. Power struggles led to him announcing a military coup in 2014 before finally being named the head of the LNA, a faction allied with the Tobruk government.

Now Gen. Hifter is fighting against the US-backed “unity” government, and is looking for an increasing amount of Russian support as a way to cement his position. Russia’s support so far is seen as fairly limited, agreeing to print money for the “central bank” based in one of his cities and providing some defensive advisers. Hifter’s top allies, however, call greater Russian involvement on their behalf “inevitable,” and will eventually secure Hifter a major position in another, even-more-unity government.

How deliciously ironic that the greatest "winner" in US-backed destabilisation in both Syria and Libya has proven to be....Russia!!!!!

"Police say PM questioned under caution, signaling he is a suspect, about gifts he allegedly accepted from businessmen; in first, AG confirms investigation"

Police investigators questioned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his residence on Monday evening for more than three hours over suspicions he accepted valuable gifts from two businessmen, after a graft probe against him gave way to a full-blown investigation in recent days.

A white police vehicle with three officers inside was seen arriving at Netanyahu’s official residence on Balfour Street in Jerusalem. They spent more than three hours inside with the prime minister.

WAR GAMES US sends special forces to RUSSIAN BORDER as Nato is poised to strike back against Vladimir Putin’s ‘aggression’

Mark Hodge      Jan. 4, 2017

"Russia is reportedly deploying nuke-ready missiles in the province of Kaliningrad which borders Lithuania

PRESIDENT Obama has deployed US special forces troops along Lithuania’s border with “aggressive” Russia.

Tensions between Washington and the Kremlin have reached Cold War levels amid reports Vladimir Putin is deploying nuke-ready missiles in the Russian province of Kaliningrad – which borders Poland, Belarus and Lithuania.

And Lithuanian Defence Ministry spokeswoman Asta Galdikaite confirmed America has offered additional military support following Russia’s annexation of Crimea.

She said: “The United States was the first to offer additional safety assurance measures to the Baltic countries following the deterioration of the security situation in the region after the annexation of the Crimea.”

She added: “US Special Operations Forces presence in Lithuania is one of the deterrents” against military threats by Putin’s aggressive regime, reports the Express.

US military chief General Raymond T Thomas told the New York Times that America has a “persistent” presence in the Baltic states bordering Russia.

He added that many former Eastern Bloc countries are “scared to death” of Russia and the vulnerable states are “desperate” for America’s leadership.

The US and its Nato allies will send battalions of up to 1,200 to each of the three Baltic states – Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia – and Poland by spring this year, reports the New York Times.

Lithuania’s foreign minister Linas Linkevicius confirmed Russia’s military activity in Kaliningrad is terrifying the region.

He said: “Iskander missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads have been deployed. There are S-400 missiles and modernised jets.”

No US carrier at sea leaves gap in Middle East

BOMBSHELL – Days Before Leaving Office, Obama Pulls U.S. Military From…

"In the last days before he leaves office, Barack Obama is doing everything he can to sabotage this country.

A new report shows that he is trying to weaken the US military presence overseas. The Dwight D. Eisenhower carrier group left its post in the Arabian Gulf and the Mediterranean on December 26 and will be back home December 30. However, the replacement ship, the George H. W. Bush, will not likely arrive to replace it until after January 20. (via Defense News)

The group had been carrying out missions against the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq. The standard procedure for these ships is for them to hand off duties to their replacement when they meet at the same location. However, the Dwight D. Eisenhower will have no friend to leave behind.

The George H. W. Bush has not even left its departure location in Norfolk, Virginia and likely will not leave harbor for its destination until after Trump takes office. This means there could be a gap of almost two months in this hotbed of terrorism where the Eisenhower was stationed."

US to ship 1,600 tanks to Dutch arms depot in ‘clear message’ to Russia

Dec. 16, 2016

"The US has started moving tanks to a storage facility in the Netherlands in a bid to “deter” Russia, amid the biggest NATO buildup in Europe since the Cold War.
A total of 1,600 vehicles are due to be stored at a six-warehouse complex in the southeastern village of Eygelshoven, near the Belgian and German borders. The Eygelshoven facility was originally opened in 1985 during the Cold War, when it was used by US troops to practice drills in case of a possible Soviet attack."

So,  the two leaders Trump intends to work with, Putin and Netanyahu, are currently being demonized however possible, by Obama and his administration.  What is he, are they, up too?  Everything from Hillary lost because Russia hacked our election, to fake news to aggression to that non Veto vote at the UN, to Netanyahu took bribes, to a summit in France on Jan. 15, to force a two party Palestinian/Israeli state, to be signed into law by Jan. 20th.  It's not going to work, and I can't help but feel something very serious is up with all of Obama's pussy footing around.  Hope I'm wrong.  I absolutely understand the Palestine/Israel situation, but there are ulterior motives at play.  Undermining, underhanded and vindictive. Eyes open all, could be an interesting 16 days headed our way.

Japan, S Korea scramble jets after China flies bombers

Jan. 11, 2017

"Japan and South Korea say Chinese military planes flew over East China Sea and the Sea of Japan for hours on Monday.

Japan and South Korea have deployed their fighter jets after spotting Chinese military planes flying back and forth between the East China Sea and the Sea of Japan, according to Japanese and South Korean officials.

Japanese defence ministry officials said on Tuesday that eight Chinese jets flew over the Tsushima Strait in western Japan on Monday.

The officials said fighters from Japan's Air Self-Defense Force were scrambled.

The Chinese aircraft did not violate Japan's airspace, Japan's NHK World reported.

Michael Flynn meets with South Korea official as China deploys planes

Elizabeth Shim                  January 10, 2017

"China dispatched 10 military planes into Korea’s claimed air defense identification zone.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- South Korea's national security advisor met with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's pick for national security advisor Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the same day several Chinese military planes flew into Korea's air defense identification zone in possible protest of THAAD.

Kim, who met with reporters on Tuesday in Washington, D.C., after holding talks with Flynn, said he and the former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency agreed on close cooperation on the deployment of the U.S. missile defense system, and to never tolerate North Korea's nuclear weapons, Yonhap reported.

"[We agreed] North Korea's nuclear and missile threats are an urgent security issue that threatens peace and stability," Kim said. "We can never tolerate North Korea's nuclear weapons, and under the premise it is vital to change the North's strategy through pressure, so that it takes the path of denuclearization.

Flynn, who recently praised U.S. alliances abroad, and commended allies for "sacrifices and deep commitments" they have "made on behalf of our security and our prosperity," characterized Washington's alliance with Seoul as strong as "sticky rice cake," Kim said.

Flynn and Kim also agreed on the need to deploy THAAD without delay, according to Yonhap.

The joint decision to deploy the missile defense system on the peninsula, however, has continued to generate friction between Seoul and Beijing."
