Sri Yantra Mandala, Oregon, 1990

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if this is already posted somwhere, but back in 1990 the pilot, Bill Miller, reported the discovery of a 20 km wide image covering a designated wilderness area.

Forty days into the investigation three guys show up claiming responsibility for orchestrating and executing the amazing accomplishment by pulling an old backhoe for miles on end in the middle of the desert. Professor Emeritus, James Deardorff of Oregon State University, calls it a cover-up of extraterrestrial interaction.

Deardorff, himself a navy trained meteorologist and scholar of atmospheric research, began his career in the fifties, and is at this point in time already going into retirement.

His last article as a professional scholar was the 1985 review of "Large-Eddy Simulation: Guidelines for its application to planetary boundary layer research," J.C. Wyngaard, ed., Bull. Amer. Meteor. Soc. 66, 1552, which was probably as far off ground as he ever got in his academic life. In 1986 he announces his retirement. Bull. Amer. Meteor. Soc. 68 (Oct.), 1295.

And that's when he takes a new approach.

No longer restrained by the decorum of the establishment he uses his academic position to publish his personal views, and instead of just talking about the climate he positions his point of view a bit further up in the sky.:

I guess, if you spend a lot of your life looking at the sky you just might see something.
