You Can Now Get High-Speed Internet on the Moon Last fall NASA and MIT researchers demonstrated a new laser-based long-distance data transmission system

SMITHSONIAN.COM

MAY 30, 2014

NASA's laser-based long-distance internet has been under development for the past 3 years, and last fall it was put to the ultimate long-distance upload test, says the Optical Society:

The team made history last year when their Lunar Laser Communication Demonstration (LLCD) transmitted data over the 384,633 kilometers between the moon and Earth at a download rate of 622 megabits per second, faster than any radio frequency (RF) system. They also transmitted data from the Earth to the moon at 19.44 megabits per second, a factor of 4,800 times faster than the best RF uplink ever used.

A 19.44 megabits per second upload speed is not only much faster than the radio frequency data transmission typically used in space exploration, it's actually nearing the upper end of what you can get at home, according to Yahoo. A 10 to 15 megabit per second transfer speed gives you more than enough juice to stream high definition TV or have video chats. Downloading from the Moon to the Earth was even faster, with transfer speeds pushing 622 megabits per second.

Fuck! how did i miss this post. I been fighting with Telstra since last fucking November wondering why i lost my fucking signal, and now I find out that they have i/net on Luna, and I'm only a few klms from an international fucking destination aaaaaaaaarrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhh!  :angry2:  :angry2:

Can't wait till I talk with these bastards next

On a brighter note, does it make you wonder that, for many decades, both professional and amateur astronomers were seeing lights, domes, structures appearing overnight and many more anomalies were reported to the public on a regular basis, and H P Wilkins was even publishing his drawings of what he was seeing with his scope, and yet with folks at home having great scopes these days, we hear nothing of events on Luna from amateurs or Pro's.

Does this mean all the activity that was so common for the last hundred years and more have ceased or the public just aren't game to state what's going on, or all the activity has been moved around to the far side to keep Earthly prying eyes away.

I hope some of you have read, or at least looked at H P Wilkins drawings he made so many years ago.  8)

Alien Artifacts On The Moon?

As nutty as it may seem to the uninitiated, the notion of looking for alien artifacts on our own Moon may finally be gaining mainstream scientific traction.

There are good reasons to seriously consider the possibility that at some point in the Earth-Moon system’s storied 4.5 billion year-old history, an alien intelligence may have passed through our solar system; leaving physical artifacts of their visits.

I should start a Moon Mapping thread sometime, but for now, some more new from the thunderbolts crew on one of my favourite space anomalies, lunar mascons. An ancient hollowing out, or on-the-run repairs from EMP strikes?

Lunar Mascons

What caused the mass concentrations on the Moon?

post-248-0-48951500-1413359550_thumb.jpg

One of the more interesting maps is shown at the top of the page: 22 separate linear anomalies with a combined length greater than 4800 kilometers. One feature is more than 500 kilometers long.

"Consensus scientific theories postulate that the Moon experienced extreme selenological activity early in its history. Cataclysmic devastation occurred at some time in the past. Giant craters, wide and deep valleys, and multi-kilometer long rilles crisscross its surface. The tacit implication is that the Moon was born long ages ago, perhaps several billion years or more, and has not changed much, since what happened then is visible today.

Most scientific theories are parochial in nature. They take their cues from what is observed on Earth, and use those data to model formations observed on other celestial bodies. Lunar “graben” are said to result from slow crustal movements similar to those that cause terrestrial earthquakes. However, there is no evidence that the Moon was once subjected to tectonic activity: it has no “crustal plates”, so no plate tectonics. Electric Universe theory proposes that structures in space ought to model what is found on Earth.

On September 10, 2011 NASA launched the Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) satellites on a mission to the Moon. GRAIL-A and GRAIL-B, otherwise known as “Ebb” and “Flow”, were nearly identical spacecraft, except that Flow was designed to follow Ebb around the Moon in the same orbit. The onboard Lunar Gravity Ranging System measured the distance between the two spacecraft, watching for minute deflections caused by anomalous mass concentrations or mass deficits beneath the Moon’s surface.

The Lunar GRAIL mission came to an end on December 17, 2012 when both satellites were deliberately crashed into the Moon because their fuel supplies were depleted. Before that event, GRAIL provided data that enabled mission specialists to create several gravitational anomaly maps of the surface. One of the more interesting maps is shown at the top of the page: 22 separate linear anomalies with a combined length greater than 4800 kilometers. One feature is more than 500 kilometers long.

post-248-0-56582100-1413358475_thumb.jpg

Electromagnetic anomalies on the Moon exhibit high albedo material also associated with areas of crustal magnetism imprinted on the lunar surface. It is probable that the magnetic and mass anomalies are related. Also, concentrations of certain minerals, such as olivine, surround several of the circular anomalies.

post-248-0-27900000-1413359084_thumb.jpg

The Moon is not uniform in its overall morphological characteristics. There is a major elevation difference between the two hemispheres. The nearside of the Moon is flat, with vast maria, whereas the farside is dominated by mountains and is heavily cratered. As written in previous Picture of the Day articles, this considerable dichotomy is reminiscent of the planet Mars.....

post-248-0-39973800-1413359265_thumb.jpg

.....As has been written elsewhere, since the hemispheres and not the poles of the Moon are where the most intense electrical activity seems to have occurred, it is not beyond consideration that the Moon is no longer in its original orientation with respect to Earth. What we call the near and far sides of the Moon might once have been the two polar regions."

I  was almost going to post just the pictures, but that could have been confusing for some.

I am trying to show that what you (and others I've written of) is being backed up by the EU folks. That Selene has been pummelled by EMPs and other electro-magnatic weapons, and that both Cairo/Mars and Selene had one of their hemispheres facing some cataclysmic cause, probably Phaethon exploding in the case of mars, stripping it's northern hemisphere of water and topography, whilst both also showing signs of intense electric bombardment. Meteors don't answer for the craters as there an impossible amount in too small an a surface area, but I know I'm preaching to the converted (lol), but did you read the whole story?

So T c'mon, you got cut the EU guys some slack, they at least look at the anomalies with open eyes compared to most astro-dudes. The story is after all, about the mascons, and it's one of the last pieces in my little jigsaw puzzle that I'm trying to find, cause without it a lot of what's been said here and elsewhere doesn't fit.

i't s all about balance for me over the last 12,500 years, and I want to know what role these mascons play or don't play in it, that's all.

I'm sorry T, but is must be the dormant daemon in me that's forcing me to post this just to see if you really can cry. But the "good' Bot in me has posted the EU take on Lunar craters, if you can see through the tears by the time you get down to that part.

And please remember, I don't write this shit, but we need to remind everyone what we're up against. And I don't know where I posted it a while back, but scientists admitted Luna was billions of years older that Earth, so it has travelled far and wide getting here and in the process was covered by all origins of matter on it's surface, which really should render, opinions on all surface materials and topography just that, opinions.

Volcanoes on the Moon May Have Erupted During the Dinosaur Age

By Megan Gannon, News Editor   |   October 14, 2014 10:28am ET

If only dinosaurs had invented telescopes, they might have seen lava occasionally oozing from the surface of the moon.

Scientists previously thought that the moon's volcanic activity died down a billion years ago. But newdata from NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO, hints that lunar lava flowed much more recently, perhaps less than 100 million years ago.

"This finding is the kind of science that is literally going to make geologists rewrite the textbooks about the moon," John Keller, LRO project scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, said in a statement.

While in orbit around the moon, Apollo 15 astronauts took images of a strange volcanic deposit known as Ina. Research suggested that Ina was quite young and might have formed in a localized burst of volcanic activity, though most of the moon's volcanism occurred between 3.5 billion years ago and 1 billion years ago.

There is more at the link below, but I'm not that cruel, to post the rest.

Now, the real story from earlier this year-

Lunar Crater Anomalies

Posted on May 7, 2014 by Stephen Smith
Elongated craters on the Moon are said to come from “grazing impactors.”

In one of the earliest Pictures of the Day by the late Amy Acheson, the question was asked, how do you make a crater? When astronomers began to observe the Moon centuries ago, the craters there were considered to be the remains of volcanic vents. As telescopes advanced in their resolving power, the structure of lunar craters was found to be anomalous.

Flat floors and central peaks characterize a significant percentage of lunar craters. The majority of those that remain are well-defined, conical holes with clean sides and no evidence of debris surrounding them. Rather, they appear melted with slumping walls in some cases.

In the image at the top of the page, two members of a crater group in Mare Fecunditatis are shown. The conventional explanation for them is that a massive asteroid struck the Moon a glancing blow, scooping out the elongated Messier crater and then bounding back to the surface, where it excavated the Messier A formation before returning to space.

post-248-0-62915400-1413521968_thumb.jpg

There are no ejecta anywhere near the crater formations, particularly outside of the long axis boundaries, so where is the debris from the impact? The ability of an object to survive the energies involved with a high-velocity strike is also questionable. Especially since the two craters measure 15 X 8 kilometers and 16 X 11 kilometers, respectively.

There are several other elongated craters on the Moon, and others on Mars. They have features in common: flat floors, steep walls, lack of impact ejecta, and a fresh appearance.

The Electric Universe hypothesis offers another perspective on the observations. Several factors come into play that are not available to the consensus theories of geophysics because the lexicon of descriptions available to them does not include electric arcs or traveling subterranean electric discharges. There are, of course, many possible explanations for craters, but once the electric force is included in the search for those explanations a new way of seeing the world becomes possible. If the conductive surface carries a negative charge, an arc will travel, sometimes eroding elongated craters, like those under discussion.

The electrical interpretation explains the nature of the topography dominating the craters on the Moon. Electromagnetic forces between Birkeland currents constrained to a surface will force them into alignment. Ionic winds can lift material and carry it along in the direction of the current flow, thus explaining the “rays” associated with the Messier craters.

An interesting note is that there is no magnetosphere on the Moon, but some areas possess an “impressed” magnetic field. Since magnetism and electricity are bound together, why is it puzzling for planetary scientists when confronted with anomalous magnetic signatures? Would it be unreasonable to conclude that an electric field impinged on those bodies, leaving behind a remanent magnetic domain? If so, then that is evidence for “electric craters.”

Thanks for that Bot!

Here's some video of empirical testing about electric discharge and surface formation. It's very interesting and shows a bit what Bot describes above. If you look through this guy's playlist, he has a lot of interesting tests he's done with electricity. I saw some of them in person at the EU Conference this year. Yep, he brought some electrical equipment and a bunch of different media and showed us his tests.  Very cool.

If you don't want to watch the whole video, skip to about 9:30 to see the crater formation experiment (though the bullseye crater experiment is earlier in the video) and then a summary of different surface formations and comparisons to his experiments.

The Moon Smells: Apollo Astronauts Describe Lunar Aroma

Buzz Aldrin Recalls the Moon’s Smell

Apollo 11 lunar module pilot Buzz Aldrin also recalls the smell of the moon. As Armstrong and Aldrin re-entered and re-pressurized the Eagle lunar lander, their suits and equipment were soiled by lunar dust. That dust has a definite odor, he said.

“It was like burnt charcoal,” Aldrin said, “or similar to the ashes that are in a fireplace, especially if you sprinkle a little water on them.”

Aldrin also noted yet another lunar dust episode on the Apollo 11 mission.

“Before we left Earth, the lunar dust was considered by some alarmists as very dangerous, in fact pyrophoric, capable of igniting spontaneously in air,” Aldrin said. “The fact that the lunar dust had been so void of contact with oxygen, as soon as we re-pressurized our lunar module cabin it might start to heat up, smolder, even burst into flames. At least that was the worry of a few. A late-July firework display on the moon was not something advisable.”

So Aldrin and Armstrong staged an ad hoc moon dust test. They did it using a so-called “grab sample,” a lunar sample collected quickly by Armstrong and stashed in his spacesuit pocket in case there was a problem that forced the moonwalkers to depart the scene in a hurry.

That grab specimen was placed on the cylindrical flat top of the Eagle’s ascent engine cover. And as the cabin began to fill with air, both Armstrong and Aldrin waited to see if the lunar sample would indeed smoke and smolder.

“If it did, we’d stop pressurization, open the hatch and toss it out. But nothing happened. We got back to the business of readying for departure from the moon,” Aldrin said.

So, are we to understand that these formations - bulls eye craters, the Devils Tower, Messier etc. - are the result of many years of electrical manipulation, or are they products of short term exposure to high levels of energy, like space war sized bullet holes from directed energy weapons?

I think many in the electric universe line of thinking would cite Immanuel Velikovsky who wrote of cataclysmic planetary events. So, the huge electrical discharges were from interaction of the planets. And, yes, these events would have occurred on a relatively short timeline. Not necessarily as short as would occur with a directed energy weapon. That theory doesn't exclude other types of large scale electrical events, however.

First you have to acknowledge that Luna was brought into our solar system, a concept that is not hard to accept when you look at all the evidence that includes the 'Proto-Selenes', ancient lunar calendars that show we may have had two satellites orbiting around 27,000 years ago, many myths of times without one or any moons. There are some problems in the details such as why we have such palaeographic evidence of earth having tidal flows since procaryote life began, such as the stromatolites in Shark bay, Western Australia. Perhaps without a moon and, rebalanced, Earth may have had similar tides, unless there are massive, massive errors in the geological time scale.

So if you accept that Luna was brought in, then in stands that some being was behind this cosmic move, and that Luna had to have travelled far to get here, perhaps during that journey it received many meteor hits, gravity stresses and the like before it was parked in a naturally impossible near perfect circular orbit around Earth.

So there must have been a tactical purpose for the colossus movement of a planet into another solar system and a cosmic war is as good a reason as any I've heard from scientists, most of whom agree Luna should not be there in so far as our little solar system goes.

There is no need for tell anyone here of the Vedas and many other ancient texts describing this war with it's flying machines, and the Sumerian's describing all sorts of weapons firing flames and even describing the fallout of a possible nuclear weapon. There are so many megalithic structures showing vitrification that can only be caused by furnace type temperatures.

if you want to go a little further and succumb to J P Farrells hypotheses, in that the Great Pyramid itself was an almighty and feared weapon, architecture'd with every known physical constant, and measurement system built into it, and the design itself just screams to me as an energy device, able to take in and let go enormous amounts of energy. Myths tell us of "that feared great crystal" that sat atop the pyramid.

We also know that around 12-13,000 ya, there was much catastrophism on earth, a sudden climate change, global flooding and land masses submerging, with the possible loss of Atlantis and submerging of many Aegean islands.

The other cosmic factor that I keep looking at is the exploding planet factor. What could cause a planet to explode? It's very rare for planets to crash into each other, and by Bodes Law, we have a missing planet between Mars and Jupiter that should be there. We also have Mars stripped of it's topography in the northern hemisphere, blown away by a massive blast of energy. According to T. Van Flandern who put the exploding planet hypothesis out there, the "ratio of hydrogen to deuterium on Mars indicates the Red planet's formerly abundant flowing water has been lost in just the last  105 to 107 years", between 100,000 and 10,000,000 years ago. he admits that the timing could be out along with our geological time scale, or perhaps this cosmic war was going well before Luna was brought in.

There is too much evidence out there that to write down here, but so much points to what T's accounts have told us of this ancient battle. Times might not coincide with each person's concepts, but with the energy weapons described in ancient texts, and their reinvention by the likes of T. Bearden, J Hutchinson and others, it is a no-brainer that extremely high energy laser weapons are a reality and they could possibly blow a planet apart, or in the case with Luna, pelted with the same weaponry, electromagnetic pulse  weapons, masers and grasers. The electric Universe folks can explain much of what is seen on Lunar today, better that conventional astronomers and the same electrostatic and electromagnetic forces that shaped the surface, could have been employed by weaponry we have today.

The asymmetrical hemispheres of Luna could have been caused by the blast of an exploding planet, with the resulting mascons and maria concentrated on the face that took the blast, heating and causing the outpouring of the maria and concentrating the heavier mass into the mascons. Or the maria was the result of Lunar having been hollowed out by it's occupants.

I have posted the goings on observed from earth for over 150 years that tells us, there recently was or still is something, or some being active on Luna.

J.P Farrell's "The Cosmic War" is a good place to start, also T.Van Flandern's "Dark Matter Missing Planets and New comets" but it's a slog and I think some revision is needed. And then for a real blast, and learn of some truly mind-blowing concepts of strategically placed pulsars including the Millisecond Pulsar (PSR 1937+21) at exactly one radian from the galactic centre, only to be seen from the direction of Earth, go read P. Laviolette's "Talk of The Galaxy". I know I keep mentioning this book, but it will show you some incredible anomalies beyond our little solar system, positioned perhaps for us to find only when we had the telescopes to see them, now we are trying to interpret them into some comprehension.

I used to be really embarrassed about my lack of academic education, but the more I read, I find most of my scientific heros admit to having to leave all their previous constructs and go beyond accepted theories. Could really do with some basic maffs though.

if it is a spaceship like a noahs ark thing putting out our own misery as we open mouths not only that

maybe some thing's can redirect us when we die' get on the game again and again and not only that as well maybe they do/did own

the things that makes animals plants keeping the frequency low enough while we hum verbal and non verbally

and all of the business models that is now currently going down ?

i suspect that because when we "buy" something with all that is printed in small says we don't own it all

buy a film only borrowing it kind of thing so humankind gets a feeling its mine ! get past that you still have your senses abilities knowingess etc...

so take care '

Aristarchus Crater:

Electric Blue Gem or Fusion Reactor?

Aristarchus Crater has long been a much debated enigma on the Moon. Yet whenever you see pictures and try to get close in for details, the area is a total white out, with no detail. It is supposedly because of its brightness. We will discuss the rumors and stories of Aristarchus further down. The image above is taken from LICKOSB9 As you can see the area is devoid of any gray pixels, leaving a totally white splotch. Below is the same area on LICKOSBA. Again we see the totally white splotch. You will find this in all of the lesser quality full moon images on the web.

Would be really interested to see some amateur folks with powerful telescopes have a close look at this area and see what they can see and post it up.

Mind you, it the moon really has a hologram being projected over itself, probably nothing to see.

I agree, Bryan. So many telescopes, and so few actually filming the Moon. And once in a while when photos do appear they are all in greyscale - when everyone knows the Moon is the colour of a well aged Stilton.

This amateur claims to film the moon through his webcam - and a telescope of course - obviously it's not rocket science... any longer.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6js0ZBGHhmE

So when are we gonna see the first Hubble video of the Apollo landing sites?

Google Street View in the Sea of Tranquility?

Moon Base CCTV?

Where are all the re-visiting picture evidence from the few other burgeoning space paddling nations?

Nah, already been there. Done with the Moon. Nothing to see there. Anymore. Boring.

i know that feeling Lonestarr

seems like web based info goes in loops but useful and exciting facts for those who don't know although i don't know every thing

but all i see is enhancement of digits pixels it is a bit like when the dvd's came out and the themes seems to be the same but with others actors other speciel effects and so on and then the old movies and then blu-ray ! and once go inside that life becomes like a tease' or the need for need while everything one needs is right outside then inside  (non polluted are)

excuse me for shouting a bit

but how do we switch off the generators on the moon that is keeping the earth's frequency at 7-8 schumann resonance and turn it up to 12 phi math system that is natural as it so widely proclaimed at almost every sacred or divine books i have read  !

(aha ! its full moon ! )

Well, how about a hand-drawn image of Aristarchus, from the hands of H Percy Wilkins no doubt. this crater was one of the most fascinating areas for HP during the decades he sat behind his scope drawing everything that was in his sights. I read yesterday that astros are telling folks there is no basis for it's luminescence and it is all "Earth-shine", what a fucking insult to HP and the rest of the dedicated astronomers who were the eyes on Luna for the rest of the world for decades, and dilligently reporting via newspapers all that was seen, and these guys didn't hold back for fear of reprisals.

Not far North of Aristarchus is "Schroeters valley, here, the first big crack on Luna was discovered. The image I photographed from HP Wilkins book classic, "Our Moon", and it shows Herodotus, Aristarchus craters, and Schroeters valley with "the crack". Btw, this crack appeared over a period of time from memory, I don't have time to re-read again.

Since no one has been posting on this thread lately, I'm wondering if peeps are reading on re: Moon Wave/Line anomaly.

I am aware that Icanseeatoms has set up Alien Human Kind thread and this will be included in that thread at later date I'm sure when ICSA is ready to post, but I really felt the latest image was so gracefully shot that I really wanted to share this anomaly pic with you peeps at CHANI now, not later.

And yes, this is one of Dante Santori's vid.

I know many of you back off out there, but you gotta go beyond of the package and see the info that's included, if you are bothered by his "style"...

Again, he's an artist, not scientist, but a guy who got heaps of weird experiences and insights.

I trust his enthusiasm to continue with the investigations/researches.

And I do believe he lost good friends AND family member for the course.

I pay the respect for anyone who does so, trying to help the humanity to wake up.

(BTW for his credentials about 3 times picked by special forces in Belgium, Swiss and Italy must have been confronted when he did the Radio Interview on ARB long time ago, before he was allowed to say so on radio as his background. So considering his background check was done and he's sticking to it, I think it's kinda safe to say he did 3 special force trainings and served about 10 years...)

Wow, sorry to hear about the headache bit but I'm glad you have checked it out!

Amazing moon-wave footage, wasn't it?

And to me it looks more like a glitch of frame rather than it's happening ON the moon...

But this "glitch" I'm thinking of, can exist due to some artificial interference of the space.

If that's the case, why it's not been fixed while many started to talk about it heatedly.

If it's been done by some technology then whoever using it must be clever enough to fix it...that's how I would imagine anyway.

Why are they allowing it to be found?

What's the purpose of leaving it there for us to see?

Not sure about this one Unity. If it was just NASA footage I would have my suspicions but he says it is also in independent sources and footage. His mining theory I was also not sure about but I really don't know either way, whether its real or not or what it is caused by.

A couple of technical questions and statements:

1.  A "high-tech" race mining with explosives?  (even our hard-rock miners use 'slow' explosives to crack the rock, just shake it)

2.  And the reports that if you 'hit' the Moon, it rings/vibrates like it's hollow,

3,  The specific gravity of the moon is less than water, so there is a LOT of blank space inside,

4.  Noise, yes there would be, but transmitted back via the suit,

I can go on, but you catch the drift...........
