Honey to my ears.

Jonas Alaska is from Norway. Don't know if he will become world famous, but who knows. But I know he is really talented, just listen to him.

Here is his latest (and lyrics in English :) ) :

salif keita - souareba

First time the song was released, this tune made my hair standing, and still does.

An African legend who broke off from the tradition, proven that he stands as who he is, and succeeded.

His each and everyday is his birthday, he says. (He doesn't know when he was born.)

salif keita - souareba

Hugh Masekela & The Graceland Band - Bring Back Nelson Mandela (on his 94th birthday)

And feel the power!

Back in the late 80's, I used to hang out in the ANC supporters' club.

There were differences of opinions, cultures, colours among Africans (and non-Africans including me) there, but this song united us all, whenever it was put on on the night.

Everyone's fists were up in the air, singing and dancing along the tune, calling for Nelson Mandela to be freed.

It still gives me shivers and I never stop loving this tune.

Thank you, Hugh. What an inspiration for the unification.

At the age of 74, he's still bopping and dancing away on his stage. (He really was, 2 days ago. Awesome!)

Us, and them

And after all were only ordinary men.

Me, and you.

God only knows it's not what we would choose to do.

Forward he cried from the rear

And the front rank died.

And the general sat and the lines on the map

Moved from side to side.

Black and blue

And who knows which is which and who is who.

Up and down.

But in the end it's only round and round.

Haven't you heard it's a battle of words

The poster bearer cried.

Listen son, said the man with the gun

There's room for you inside.

I mean, they're not gunna kill ya, so if you give em a quick short,

Sharp, shock, they wont do it again. dig it? I mean he get off

Lightly, cos I wouldve given him a thrashing - I only hit him once!

It was only a difference of opinion, but really...i mean good manners

Don't cost nothing do they, eh?

Down and out

It can't be helped but there's a lot of it about.

With, without.

And wholl deny it's what the fightings all about?

Out of the way, it's a busy day

Ive got things on my mind.

For the want of the price of tea and a slice

The old man died.
