  2. To some, it might sound like outright paranoia. Others may interpret it as nothing more than a rumor, one that should be firmly relegated to the world of the likes of The X-Files. And more than a few might simply write it all off as fantasy-driven nonsense. But for those who have experienced it, it’s no laughing matter. What am I talking about? Apparent secret surveillance of so-called “alien abductees,” that’s what. And, make no mistake, there are plenty of examples… Betty Andreasson, an abductee whose experiences have been chronicled in detail by researcher and author Raymond Fowler, has for years reportedly been the subject of official monitoring by what sounds like the work of some covert arm of government, the military or the intelligence community. For example, in early 1980, when UFO investigator Larry Fawcett was working as the chief investigator for Ray Fowler on the book The Andreasson Affair: Phase Two, mysterious, unmarked helicopters plagued both Betty and her husband, Bob Luca. According to Fawcett and his writing partner, Barry Greenwood: “They reported that their home was over flown numerous times by black, unmarked helicopters of the Huey UH-1H type and that these helicopters would fly over their homes at altitudes as low as 100 feet.” [sNIP] http://mysteriousuniverse.org/2013/12/alien-abductees-and-secret-surveillance/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=alien-abductees-and-secret-surveillance
  3. Mysteries from Another Dimension Andrew May October 16, 2014 "The idea of “other dimensions” is an appealing one. It’s been called on to explain everything from ghosts and paranormal phenomena to UFOs and even Bigfoot. It’s implicit in science fiction concepts such as hyperspace or subspace, which make faster-than-light travel possible. Esoteric teachers often invoke higher dimensions to explain mystical concepts and experiences. Even mainstream scientists talk about “other dimensions” when discussing advanced topics such as relativity and string theory. Despite the huge divergence in the way the concept is used, all these disciplines – science, esoterica, science fiction and the paranormal – can trace their interest in other dimensions to a common origin in the 19th century. It seems self-evident that we live in a three-dimensional world. A box has three dimensions – length, width and height. Each of those dimensions is at right-angles to the other two. It’s impossible to imagine a fourth dimension at right angles to these three (or at least, it’s impossible for most of us – a few people claim they can do it). On the other hand, it’s easy to picture fewer than three dimensions – if you draw a square on a flat sheet of paper then it has just two dimensions. You can fold the piece of paper diagonally, so that the two opposite corners – a long way apart in two-dimensional space – are now almost touching. What was previously a long journey from one corner to another becomes a short journey through the third dimension. The science-fictional idea of hyperspace is a logical extension of this – if you could fold or warp three-dimensional space in higher dimensions then you could turn a long journey between the stars into a short one." snip http://mysteriousuniverse.org/2014/10/mysteries-from-another-dimension/

  6. Synesthesia, loosely defined as the phenomenon of a sensation creating an unnatural secondary sensation, is actually quite common; some humans perceive numbers as colors, for instance. But Psychology Today reports the story of a young Texas girl might be the only person on the planet identified to have what's known as "mirror touch" synesthesia — where an individual feels the emotions of those around her — with machines, not humans. Is the escalator crying? The girl (who is not named to protect her identity) describes the experience as an "extra limb," an extension of her own body, when she's near a machine that she's not touching — she cites cars, robots, escalators, locks, and levers as examples of mechanical objects that act as stimuli. "When watching cars crash in a movie, I feel them as they're ripped and crush, and I usually have to turn away and cut myself off from the stimulus," she says. Interestingly, she identifies humanoid robots as a "stranger" experience for her due to their physical similarities to her own body. Synesthesia is poorly understood in the medical community, but dozens of types have been identified, of which the girl has several — apart from the bond with machines, she has as many as six other types like the ability to "feel" sound. She says she's interested in going into a career in science or engineering, and the affliction could help: "My synesthesia is helpful when trying to remember long streams of numbers or words, and it also gives me a better understanding of physics and mechanical designs," she notes. http://www.theverge.com/2013/11/10/5087706/extreme-synesthesia-texas-teenager-says-she-can-feel-the-machines-around-her
