Obamacare Navigators Can LEGALLY Tell People to Vote Democrat

Obamacare uses a vast army of “navigators” to get people to sign up for Obamacare… and they’re LEGALLY able to tell people to vote Democrat. Please SHARE this.

Obamacare was never about healthcare… it’s about control and buying votes. This is why Obamacare shouldn’t just be temporarily delayed… it must be permanently defeated.

Over the next few months, Democrats will likely try to get a delay of Obamacare. They must be stopped. Delaying Obamacare is still a massive blow to the economy and a massive “buy” of votes for the Democrats. We must REPEAL Obamacare.

snip

If we don’t end Obamacare, Obamacare will end us. PLEASE share this article on Facebook, Twitter, and your blog. Let people know why we CAN’T delay Obamacare — it must be defeated as quickly as possible.  <<<and to think I have been a Democrat all my life, but then, became "insurance transitioned" along will millions of others.  Obama is no Democrat, either that or I'm not, cause the two of us do NOT see eye to eye on anything.

Loyal Obama Supporters, Canceled by Obamacare

November 6, 2013

by Charles Ornstein
ProPublica

"San Francisco architect Lee Hammack says he and his wife, JoEllen Brothers, are “cradle Democrats.” They have donated to the liberal group Organizing for America and worked the phone banks a year ago for President Obama’s re-election.

Since 1995, Hammack and Brothers have received their health coverage from Kaiser Permanente, where Brothers worked until 2009 as a dietitian and diabetes educator. “We’ve both been in very good health all of our lives – exercise, don’t smoke, drink lightly, healthy weight, no health issues, and so on,” Hammack told me.

The couple — Lee, 60, and JoEllen, 59 — have been paying $550 a month for their health coverage — a plan that offers solid coverage, not one of the skimpy plans Obama has criticized. But recently, Kaiser informed them the plan would be canceled at the end of the year because it did not meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act. The couple would need to find another one. The cost would be around double what they pay now, but the benefits would be worse."

“From all of the sob stories I’ve heard and read, ours is the most extreme,” Lee told me in an email last week.

I’ve been skeptical about media stories featuring those who claimed they would be worse off because their insurance policies were being canceled on account of the ACA. In many cases, it turns out [1], the consumers could have found cheaper coverage through the new health insurance marketplaces, or their plans weren’t very good to begin with. Some didn’t know they could qualify [2] for subsidies that would lower their insurance premiums.

So I tried to find flaws in what Hammack told me. I couldn’t find any.

"Are you sure it's going to be fixed within weeks, Mr President? This is Obamacare website riddled with garbled messages today"
November 7, 2013

David Martosko

"Healthcare.gov 'is not firing effectively on all pistons,' White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters on Thursday, in what may be the understatement of the week.

When MailOnline visited the website shortly after Carney's daily briefing, the Obamacare portal spewed a nonsensical mixture of computer code instead of a typical login screen.

Gone were words like 'Username' and 'Password.'

n their place were jumbled programming strings like '???ffe.ee.myAccount.login.username???' and '???ffe.ee.myAccount.login.password???'

Exclusive: Obama personally apologizes for Americans losing health coverage

November 7, 2013

By Chuck Todd, NBC News

"President Obama said Thursday that he is "sorry" that some Americans are losing their current health insurance plans as a result of the Affordable Care Act, despite his promise that no one would have to give up a health plan they liked.

"I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me," he told NBC News in an exclusive interview at the White House.

Obama’s comments come 10 days after NBC News’ Lisa Myers reported that the administration has known since the summer of 2010 that millions of Americans could lose their insurance under the law."

He is sorry that "some" Americans are losing their current health insurance plans.  <<<out of 300 million Americans, 129 million have been or will be "transitioned", from what I've read.   I'd say that's a few more than "some" Mr. President.  and You have known since 2010 that this would happen.  So how about you put OUR money where YOUR mouth is, and MANDATE that CONGRESS,  EVERY GOV'T WORKER WHO HASN'T BEEN YET, and YOUR OWN FAMILY get TRANSITIONED out of your current medical insurance and into Obamacare TOO??  (I notice that there is a lot of extra mental health care being included in our "transitional insurance", probably going to need it to deal with additional deductibles, copays, lack of doctors, meds, or even possibly being denied care.)

Obama to Force Military Families Away From Tricare ...By Tripling Their Fees.

This is from June of 2012  <<yes, 2012, but it indicates a deliberate action instead of totally innocent, like they would like us to believe, or an unknown consequence of the bill. transitioned is what they are...

"President Barack Obama has said on multiple occasions that he stands by the troops, and lauds their selflessness in fighting the Iraq war and the conflict in Afghanistan.  During a time when our bravest in uniform have been in a state of war for more than a decade, one would think that our fearless leaders should reward their efforts by making life a bit easier at home.

Instead, Obama simply insists on tripling their fees on the military health insurance program called Tricare.

What is the administration’s reasoning on this?  Well, they actually admit that Obama would rather the troops partake in ‘alternatives’ that were established in the Affordable Care Act (otherwise known as Obamacare).  In a report from the FreeBeacon.com, Bill Gertz states:

Administration officials told Congress that one goal of the increased fees is to force military retirees to reduce their involvement in Tricare and eventually opt out of the program in favor of alternatives established by the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.”

This is quite a telling move by the Obama administration, due to the transparency in a letter written to congress, as the FreeBeacon.com further reports."

House Republicans Are Pushing An Obamacare Bill That Would Be An Even Bigger Mess Than Repeal
November 11, 2013

Danny Vinik

"The "Keep Your Health Plan Act," which House Republicans plan to vote on this week, is supposed to make good on President Obama's promise that "if you like your health plan, you can keep it."

Instead, it would just make Obamacare implementation even messier than it already is.

The Affordable Care Act imposes a wide variety of new regulations on health insurance sold in the individual market. But it "grandfathered" in all plans that existed before March 23, 2010, meaning insurers could continue to offer them even if they didn't meet many of the requirements set by the ACA.

Plans lose grandfathered status if they change significant terms, like co-payments or deductibles. Because health plan terms change often, millions of Americans are getting cancellation notices because their existing plans are not grandfathered.

It was always obvious to policy wonks that this was going to happen, which means that Obama's promise was what is commonly called a "lie." Obama likely assumed that when Obamacare arrived, most people losing coverage would log into exchange websites and find plans that they liked even better

HealthCare.gov enrollment falls short of target: Report

November 21, 2013

Fewer than 50,000 people have been able to successfully enroll into HealthCare.gov since the troubled Obamacare site's Oct. 1 launch, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing two people familiar with the matter.

The early forecast falls short of goals set by the president's administration. The low number also has worried health insurers who are counting on higher turnout.

Marilyn Tavenner, the federal health official directly responsible for the online marketplace, told a congressional panel last week that the Department of Health and Human Services would release enrollment figures this week.

State Obamacare exchanges enroll 3 pct of target so far -report

November 11, 2013

"Nov 11 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama's healthcare reform has reached only about 3 percent of its enrollment target for 2014 in 12 U.S. states where new online health insurance marketplaces are mostly working smoothly, a report released on Monday said.

States with functioning exchanges have signed up 49,100 people compared with the 1.4 million people expected to be enrolled for 2014, according to the report by healthcare research and consultancy firm Avalere Health.

With enrollment in the federal HealthCare.gov website serving 36 states stalled by technical failures, the weak sign-ups for functioning insurance exchanges could be due to the administration's difficulty to promote the program as a success, Avalere said."

The government is due to release national enrollment figures for the month of October this week. Open enrollment ends March 31, 2014.

Supporters of Obamacare and health insurers fear that scant participation in the private insurance exchanges will prevent them from becoming a sustainable new individual market, including the right mix of young and healthy members to offset coverage for older, sick people.

A website designed to fail...hmmm.  Who would gain?

Serco.  Originally anticipated to process 10-20% by paper applications, they are now hiring in earnest.  A decision will need to be made in weeks about the website.  Serco will be quite busy if they scrap it.  And, richer.

Want a job working on Obamacare? Has Serco got a deal for you! The company is already recruiting what will be an estimated 1,500 workers who will handle paper applications for private insurance coverage that come in through the new marketplaces. Most applications, the government expects, will come in online.

Serco has decided to headquarter its operations in Alabama, Arkansas and Kentucky. As to why these places were chosen, Hill said it has a lot with where they think they can stand up an office really fast.

Why California Is The Key To The Obamacare 'Fix'

November 15, 2013

Dylan Scott

If the attempted Obamacare fix is going to work at all -- an already debatable proposition -- it needs to take hold in the biggest state in the Union: California.

But unfortunately for the White House, internal state politics could make it hard for that to happen. California has institutionalized the very practice that the Obamacare "fix" is supposed to address -- the only state marketplace to do so.

California has always been key to the health care reform law's success. Most importantly, of course, it's the biggest state. That means it's the biggest state to build its own insurance marketplace, expand Medicaid, etc. If you can make the law succeed in a state where one in eight Americans lives, that goes a long way toward making Obamacare work nationwide.

And in a state where Obama won by more than 20 percentage points in 2012, it follows that support for Obamacare has always been strong, too. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) helped shepherd the law through Congress when her party held the majority.

But there have been cracks in that West Coast support in recent days.

snip

The White House doesn't want Congress to get involved; that's why it proposed its own fix. So if its plan to help people whose health policies have been canceled under the law -- by allowing them to stay on their plans, so long as their insurer and state regulator allow it -- is going to hold any weight, California needs to get onboard.

That's not going to be easy, though.

The whole plan is predicated on state regulators allowing their insurance companies to do what the White House has proposed: let people stay on their current, non-Obamacare compliant plans.

The administration has already lost some usually stalwart allies like the Washington insurance commissioner. So getting California to sign onto the plan would be a big win.

This is interesting...

More CRIMINAL fraud: ‘Obamacare’ transfers $100-$300 billion/year from 99% to 1% oligarchs

I wrote in 2010 that so-called “Obamacare” is economic fascism because it dictatorially transfers $100 billion to $300 billion every year from the 99% to 1% so-called “health care” oligarchs, according to every cost-benefit analysis compared to single-payer universal health care that I could find. “Obamacare” is also criminal fraud by US government so-called “leaders” because they have legal fiduciary responsibility to fully communicate options in trust of public money.

OBVIOUSLY, failure to communicate annual savings of $100 billion to $300 billion while transferring this to 1% oligarchs points to massive crime.

Obamacare Official Admits Something So Incredible You’ll Wonder Why You’re Just Now Hearing About It

A large portion of the error-riddled, multimillion dollar federal health insurancearrow-10x10.png exchange system has not even been built yet, according to a senior official involved in the construction of the website.

The revelation came Tuesday during a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing on the possible securityarrow-10x10.png risks surrounding healthcare.gov.

The committee’s been reviewing materials that indicate that some parts of healthcare.gov were not completedarrow-10x10.png before the launch, as we’ve discussed here,” Rep. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) said. “What portion of the website remained to be created when you launched on October 1st?”

Democrats call Issa's Obamacare road show a 'destructive' political act

November 22, 22013

Dane Davidson

"(CNN) – The top Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Friday accused the panel's chairman of engaging in a "destructive political exercise" by launching a series of hearings on the road meant to highlight various flaws in the Affordable Care Act.

Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings said in a written statement it's evident that Republicans are not invested in fixing the flawed federal health care website, and are instead trying to undermine President Barack Obama's signature legislative accomplishment.  <<not sure  I'd want to call it that >:D

Republicans have the "ultimate goal of tearing down the Affordable Care Act, promoting misinformation and eliminating health insurance for tens of millions of people," Cummings said. "The Committee should support constructive efforts to help educate and assist families who urgently need medical care and now have a chance to obtain it."<<sure if only they could afford it, that is.

snip

Democrats, however, have accused Issa and other GOP lawmakers of attacking the Affordable Care Act for purely political reasons. Among other things, Democrats insist Issa has selectively leaked administration documents and reports on healthcare.gov's launch in a way designed to make the rollout process look as terrible as possible.<<<LOL they don't need any help on that score, do they??

Extended: Obamacare enrollment deadline for January 1 coverage

November 22, 2013

Byron Wolf

(CNN) – The Obama administration announced Friday that the Department of Health and Human Services will extend a key Obamacare deadline by one week.

Americans can now sign up through December 23 in order to have health coverage start on January 1, according to Julie Bataille, a spokeswoman for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

December 15 was the original deadline for coverage beginning January 1.

"We realize that many consumers who are seeking coverage in January may have experienced frustration with the site,” Bataille said in a conference call with reporters.

“In response, HHS intends to extend the date by which consumers need to enroll in a plan in order to get coverage on January 1st … This extension will give consumers more time to review plan options, to talk with their families, providers or enrollment assisters and to enroll in a plan."

Insurers adapt to administration fix, some renew canceled policies

November 21, 2013

Laura Koran

"Washington (CNN) – One week after President Barack Obama announced a fix that would allow people who are losing their insurance policies to keep them, millions of Americans are still waiting for the final word on whether their plans can, in fact, be renewed.

These customers had been receiving letters from their insurers informing them that they would not be able to renew their existing policies in 2014 because those policies do not meet certain minimum coverage requirements of the Affordable Care Act.

In the letters, customers were offered similar ACA-compliant plans and told they could find additional options on the health exchange or private market. But for many, the loss of their old plan means an increase in premiums.

Many insurers are embracing the administration's change of course, and several companies have already begun working to reinstate discontinued plans.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas spokeswoman Mary Beth Chambers told CNN they plan to renew insurance policies for their affected customers, and will notify those customers in letters likely going out early next week.

Florida Blue announced its intention to renew customers' plans last Thursday, the same day the President made his announcement."

The Scheme behind the Obamacare Fraud

November 23, 2013

By Andrew C. McCarthy

Lies smooth the transition to a fundamental transformation of our health-care system.

"Fraud can be so brazen it takes people’s breath away. But for a prosecutor tasked with proving a swindle — or what federal law describes as a “scheme to defraud” — the crucial thing is not so much the fraud. It is the scheme.

To be sure, it is the fraud — the individual false statements, sneaky omissions, and deceptive practices — that grabs our attention. As I’ve recounted in this space, President Obama repeatedly and emphatically vowed, “If you like your health-insurance plan, you can keep your health-insurance plan, period.” The incontrovertible record — disclosures by the Obama administration in the Federal Register, representations by the Obama Justice Department in federal court — proves that Obama’s promises were systematically deceitful.

The president’s audacity is bracing, and not just because he lies so casually while looking us in the eye. Obama also insults our intelligence. It is one thing to tuck evidence of falsehood into a few paragraphs on page 34,552 of a dusty governmental journal no one may ever look at.

It is quite something else to announce it in a legal brief publicly filed in a case of intense interest to millions of Americans aggrieved by Obamacare’s religious-liberty violations. To be so bold is to say, in effect, “The public is too ignorant and disengaged to catch me, and the press is too deep in my pocket to raise alarms.”

snip

There’s that word: transition. It’s the route “change” takes to reach its final destination: “fundamental transformation.” If you’re paying attention, you’ll hear the word transition a lot in Obama’s health-care speeches. You’ll also find it in that Justice Department brief the administration no doubt wishes Eric Holder’s minions had edited more furtively:

The [Affordable Care Act’s]
grandfathering
provision’s incremental
transition
does not undermine the government’s interests in a significant way. Even under the
grandfathering
provision, it is projected that more group health plans will
transition
to the requirements under the regulations as time goes on. [Officials of the Department of Health and Human Services] have estimated that a majority of group health plans will have lost their grandfather status by the end of 2013 [emphasis added].

Understand what this studiously unthreatening, gradualist gobbledygook means. A “group health plan” is employer-provided insurance; the phrase thus blithely refers to the “transition” of 156 million Americans who get health insurance for themselves and their families through work. It does not mention the so-called individual market, consumers who buy health insurance on their own. That’s because the administration assumes the “transition” of those 25 million Americans from their preferred plans to Obamacare will already have progressed well toward completion. And indeed it has, as we have seen in the millions of cancellation notices reported in the last six weeks.

snip

Health Care Site Rushing to Make Fixes by Sunday

SHARON LaFRANIERE, ERIC LIPTON and IAN AUSTEN

November 29, 2013

"As the Obama administration’s weekend deadline for a smoothly functioning online marketplace for health insurance arrives, more than a month of frantic repair work is paying off with fewer crashes and error messages and speedier loading of pages, according to government officials, groups that help people enroll and experts involved in the project.

But specialists said weeks of additional work lie ahead, including a major reconfiguration of the computer hardware, if the $630 million site, Healthcare.gov, is to accommodate the expected flood of people seeking to buy health insurance. Without the additional changes, experts predict, the website may continue to crash during periods of peak use.

Beyond the prospect of potential delays for consumers, insurers warn that problems remain in the invisible “back end” that transmits enrollment information to them. That data has been plagued by inaccuracies, insurers say. Administration officials have been unwilling to disclose the error.

As late as Wednesday, the site still continued to slow down when 30,000 users tried to log on simultaneously, according to project specialists. A batch of hardware upgrades and software fixes scheduled for this weekend, administration officials say, will allow the site to handle 50,000 simultaneous users, as promised, by Dec. 1, which is Sunday.

The Health and Human Services Department announced that the site would be shut down for 11 hours on Friday night to put those upgrades into place, on top of the usual four-hour timeout for maintenance on Saturday night."

Obamacare reboot begins with 11-hour website shutdown

November 30, 2013

Larry Clifton

"Washington - The least expected fail point of the Obama administration’s partisan health care overhaul might have been the website that allows Americans to obtain insurance mandated by Democrats under threat of law.

However, two months after its roll out, and on the very day Mr. Obama’s signature legislative initiative was scheduled for reboot, his administration shut down the troubled Obamacare website for an 11-hour period.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that it was taking down the website for an 11-hour period that would end at 8 a.m. EST on Saturday just hours before it was to be rebooted. Thus far, the disastrous Oct. 1 roll out of healthcare.gov, skyrocketing insurance premiums and millions of policy cancellations tied to Obamacare have pushed Mr. Obama’s job approval ratings into the 30s, a low water mark for his five years in office.

While Americans who are mandated to purchase Obamacare insurance or pay a fine are used to seven-hour delays, the administration promised the website would be up and running on Saturday, ready to handle 50,000 insurance shoppers at one time."

Obamacare Website Sign-Ups Said to Reach 100,000 in Month

December 2, 2013

By Julianna Goldman

"About 100,000 people signed up for health insurance through the online federal exchange last month, a roughly four-fold increase from October even as a team of U.S. government and contractor programmers was fixing the troubled Affordable Care Act website, said a person familiar with program’s progress.

The preliminary November numbers reflect individuals who successfully selected a plan. The administration expects that most consumers will sign up early next year as the enrollment period nears its March 31 close, said the person who asked for anonymity because the final numbers were still being calculated.

After two months of software errors and delays that have threatened the success of President Barack Obama’s signature health law, the administration said yesterday that it met its self-imposed deadline and the site, healthcare.gov, is working smoothly for the majority of users. The fumbled rollout forced the administration to scale back its original enrollment targets of about 800,000 for the first two months.

While far from the original goal, the jump in enrollment may be an encouraging trend for the administration and could signal that consumers are keeping an open mind about the new $1.4 trillion health law amid criticism from both Republicans and Democrats over the site’s technical failures."

That’s the conclusion of some on the political right who are calling for the impeachment of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi along with the defeat of the health legislation.

“This is the overthrow of the U.S. constitutional system, orchestrated from the White House through the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid,” said radio host Rush Limbaugh today. “This is beyond rational explanation and description. This makes Watergate look like Romper Room.”
At issue is the possibility that reforms pushed by President Obama and other Democrats will be approved without ever actually having a direct vote, and could be “deemed” to have been passed, then signed into law by Obama. The process is called the “Slaughter Strategy,” named for Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y., who chairs the House Rules Committee."

Expert Testifies To Congress That Obama's 'Ignoring Laws' Could Lead to the Overthrow of Government

During a congressional committee hearing about the constitutional limits imposed on the presidency and the implications of President Barack Obama’s disregard for implementing the Affordable Care Act as written, one expert testified that the consequences of the president’s behavior were potentially grave. He said that the precedent set by Obama could eventually lead to an armed revolt against the federal government.

On Tuesday, Michael Cannon, Cato Institute’s Director of Health Policy Studies, testified before a congressional committee about the dangers of the president’s legal behavior.

“There is one last thing to which the people can resort if the government does not respect the restrains that the constitution places on the government,” Cannon said. “Abraham Lincoln talked about our right to alter our government or our revolutionary right to overthrow it.”

You’re Too Old for MRI under Obama Care

December 6, 2013

"For people 65 and older, doctors who will accept Medicare and Medicaid will be harder to find and specialists even harder. These patients will be forced into a second class medical care akin to what I’ve witnessed growing up under socialist nationalized health care.

When more and more people will be forced into Medicaid and Medicare, costs will escalate and so will taxes to support care for 30 million more patients who were previously without insurance."

Payment Due: The Obamacare Deadline No One Is Talking About

December 11, 2013

by Charles Ornstein  ProPublica

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced this morning [1] that nearly 365,000 Americans had signed up for private health insurance under Obamacare. The vast majority came from 14 states running their own insurance exchanges, while 137,000 came by way of HealthCare.gov [2], the much-faulted federal Web site that handles enrollment for the remaining states.

But amid the rush to enroll as many people as possible by the Dec. 23 deadline [3], there’s a huge caveat that isn’t getting much public attention: For coverage to take effect on Jan. 1, enrollees must pay their first month’s premium on time. (The deadline varies somewhat by state and by insurer.)

"That’s slow going, according to consultants and some insurers, raising the prospect that actual enrollment will be far lower than the figures HHS is releasing."

James Stover, CEO of University of Arizona Health Plans, said he expects more than 85 percent of enrollees to pay the premium on time. “Right now we’re comfortable with the process we have in place,” he said. “As soon as we get the information in, we’re reaching out to the individuals to let them know what their binder payment is. We’ll follow up with them.”

Stover said that enrollment has been lower than expected. A couple of weeks ago, only one person had signed up. By early this week, the figure had increased to 35. “We plan to have triple digits in the next couple weeks and greater growth in the next couple months. We initially expected to have somewhere between 5,000 to 6,000 by June 30, 2014.”

While saying it is difficult to guess what will happen, Piper said he believes “a plan will be lucky if half of applicants pay first month’s premium on time for January coverage start but that perhaps three-quarters will pay in time for coverage start by February or March.”

One additional point to keep an eye on: If consumers pay their first month’s premium but then stop paying, insurers cannot drop them from their plans for 90 days.

“There is also a lot of worrying going on over people making payments,” industry consultant Robert Laszewski wrote in an email. “One client reports only 15% have paid so far. It is still too early to know for sure what this means, but we should expect some enrollment slippage come the payment due date.”

Another consultant Kip Piper, agreed. “So far I’m hearing from health plans that around 5% and 10% of consumers who have made it through the data transfer gauntlet have paid first month’s premium and therefore truly enrolled,” he wrote me."
